Flirting With My Ex-husband novel Chapter 389

Although Alexander was cunning, he was a generous man.

To help Raymond, once again, he showed his generosity. The dinner cost almost ten thousand dollars.

After dinner, Alexis had two more drinks. Justin came and took her home.

Scarlett hadn't had much wine, but Raymond insisted on sending her home.

She didn't say anything, and neither did Raymond.

Looking at the happy couples ahead, Alexander felt pity for himself.

The weather was nice. The evening breeze was soft.

Scarlett looked at the shadow next to hers. Raymond was so attached to her!

All evening, Raymond didn't say much. He was so patient.

Scarlett arrived at her car. She was about to get in.

The man behind her finally spoke, "Emelia went to see you?"

Scarlett raised her eyebrows. She looked back at him.

In the dim light, Raymond's eyes were a little more tender than usual, and his dark eyes were fastened on her.

"Yes."

Then Raymond frowned, "I'm sorry."

Scarlett asked, "Do you know what she said to me?"

This was the first time Scarlett had been willing to talk to him since their divorce.

Raymond flattened his lips. He swallowed, "What did she say?"

"She offered me three million dollars to get you to remove those trending topics."

As Scarlett was talking, she curled up the corners of her lips with a smile. The lights reflected in her eyes, and her eyes were sparkling.

He stood there in a daze. The smile in his eyes faded, only pain and misery in them.

The two were silent. The cars on the road drove by and brought up a gust of wind now and then.

Occasionally, the sound of a horn broke the silence.

After a while, Scarlett opened the car door and said," It's late."

Then she got into the car. She stepped on the gas. The car lurched away.

Raymond was still in a daze. Then he came to himself. He turned to get into his car, following Scarlett's car.

Scarlett hadn't driven so fast in a long time. Glancing a t the car following hers in the rearview mirror, she raised her eyebrows and sped up.

Suddenly, her cell phone rang. It was an unfamiliar call.

Scarlett did not answer the phone. Raymond's car was out of sight behind her, and she slowed down.

After a while, her phone rang once again.
