Having gotten Rowan's consent, Viviana sat down on the side. "There’s no hurry. We may set out after you and Scarlett finish your chess game."
Scarlett thought of Jessie. "Are you sure? Jessie’s still waiting downstairs."
"It won't take long. I’ll go and change clothes first.”
Scarlett glanced at Rowan with a lift of her eyebrows.
She was really uncertain as to how much longer this chess game would last.
But in order not to put Viviana in a difficult position, Scarlett still secretly underplayed her skill.
This was not Rowan's first time playing chess with Scarlett, so he naturally could tell. He resignedly smiled, "Go and keep your aunt company. She's always wanted a daughter whom she can help dress up. You coming back here kind of fulfilled her wish.
Scarlett was faintly disconcerted. "I’ll go another round with you when I get back, Rowan!"
Rowan waved his hand. "Just go. Don't feel pressured to come back early. Buy yourself some gorgeous clothes."
"Okay."
Scarlett walked out of the study, returned to her room, changed and then quickly put on some light make-up.
She was well-featured and fair-complexioned, and the make-up was the icing on the cake. She made herself up merely to provide a foil for the lipstick.
Scarlett hadn't brought many clothes with her. To make it more convenient for her to travel, she had only brought a casual long skirt.
But she was so pretty that she looked good in any garment.
Viviana was fairly amazed by Scarlett's beauty when the latter walked downstairs." You look stunning!"
Scarlett smiled, "So do you."
Jessie on the side unnoticeably curled her lip. She thought, 'Your good looks won't do you any good, Scarlett. Soon I'll have Viviana see your true colors!'
The three of them went out together. Half an hour later, their car halted in the underground garage of a large shopping mall.
Viviana entwined her arm with Scarlett’s. Not to be outdone, Jessie walked over and twined her arm around Viviana’s other one.
