Scarlett looked at Raymond not far away, took a sip of orange juice and looked at Alexis with a half-smile. "Or should I ask him for you?"
"Ah! If you ask, there will be no surprise!"
Scarlett smiled. “Then why did you ask me?"
She even doubted that Alexis deliberately saved no surprise for her.
Alexis smiled awkwardly, "It's so stupid of me to ask this."
Scarlett gave her a meaningful look and said half-jokingly, "This isn’t the first time for you to be silly."
At this moment, Justin came along.
Scarlett nodded at him and then walked away.
Raymond returned to her side after making the phone call. The two of them were the hosts tonight. In fact, Scarlett's social circle and Raymond's didn't overlap at all, but the atmosphere was quite harmonious tonight.
Last year, Scarlett was encouraged by Alexis to sing on stage, but this year, Alexis dared not do so. She took Mark up to the stage and sang a song for Scarlett.
Although she didn't sing very well, all the listeners were amused by her performance.
Wearing a smile, Scarlett looked at Alexis from under the stage.
The whole party lasted until eleven o’clock in the evening. When it was about to end, Alexis looked at Raymond several times. Before leaving, she said in Scarlett's ear with a snort, “So he isn't going to propose tonight, is he? Bastard!"
Hearing her scornful words, Scarlett couldn't help laughing. She glanced at Raymond who was talking to Alexander. " I'm not in a hurry to get married.”
"I know, but he has to show his intention to propose to you.”
Scarlett shot a sharp glance at Alexis. "Are you trying to sow discord between us?”
Alexis, whose intention was exposed, quickly pulled Justin aside and said, "I'm so sleepy Let's leave now! Happy birthday to you, Lettie!”
Scarlett smiled grumpily. "Thanks. You two can go now.”
After she said this, Raymond came to her side. "Are you going back?"
“Yes," she replied.
