After that, she turned around and left.
Gale's expression changed. He looked at Scarlett's back, and his smile gradually disappeared.
It was normal for women to be reserved, but it was not fun to be too reserved.
Scarlett turned around to find Julie photographing her. Raising her eyebrows, she walked up to Julie, and extended her hand, "Let me have a look."
Julie got flustered, but soon adjusted, "I don't know what you're talking about, Ms. Reed."
Scarlett squinted at Julie, "Certainly. Miss Woods can't understand human language."
"You!"
Julie wanted to retort, but she was slower than Scarlett. Before she could speak, Scarlett said, "If you could understand human language, you wouldn't always take my words like a passing wind."
Julie felt guilty and could not look at Scarlett in the eye, "I don't have any idea what you mean, Ms. Reed."
"Brute, of course, do not understand human language."
Scarlett stopped smiling, looked at Julie coldly, "I'm warning you for the last time — don't piss me off."
"I don't have the least idea of what you're talking about."
"You don't have to keep stressing that you're not human."
Scarlett waved away, leaving only Julie sulking.
Scarlett had already paid the bill and left the restaurant before Julie knew how to answer back.
The waiter who observed the event couldn't help but admire Scarlett.
Someone even recorded it and posted it online.
Julie sensed the change in Gale's attitude. She paled," Could we make it some other time?"
"I have something to do in a few days. You go ahead. I got plans."
Gale took one look at Julie and thought the woman in front of him was plain compared with Scarlett's delicate face.
"Gale, you..."
Julie panicked. She had only intended to capture some photos and send them to Raymond. She had no idea Gale was actually interested in Scarlett!
Coming out of the restaurant, Scarlett felt refreshed. She hadn't scolded anyone for a long time. But Julie was not a match for her, she felt no sense of accomplishment.
She intended to drive home to watch a movie and hit the gym at four.
That was her ordinary daily life.
