When Scarlett finished speaking, Raymond led her forward.
After a while, the woman, who had just spoken, suddenly stopped them, "Can you give up the private room for us? There are many other tables, you can change one."
Raymond's face became stern. The smile on Scarlett's face faded. She glanced at the middle-aged woman behind the woman and said, "Sorry, I'm used to sitting in a private room. Besides, since I was a child, my mother has taught me that whether to help others is up to me."
Scarlett was beautiful. It was annoying when she said harsh words with a calm face.
Both the woman and the middle-aged couple behind her had stern faces. The middle-aged woman tugged at the woman's sleeve, and then the woman suddenly changed her face and pushed Scarlett, "Don't talk nonsense. Do you think you are powerful just because you are pretty and have hooked up with a good man? Do you know who my uncle is? He is an executive of Future Technologies! Have you heard of Future Technologies? He's coming over in a minute. Give up the room for us quickly, or I’ll ask someone to make you leave Juanton City!"
Scarlett didn't dodge, and then she stumbled backwards. Raymond’s face was dark. He wanted to do something, but he saw Scarlett shaking her head.
He pursed his lips and stood there coldly, trying hard to hold back his anger.
Looking down at her arm that had been pushed, Scarlett didn't become angry but patted it slowly, "What's your uncle's name?
'What a coincidence! He is an executive of Future Technologies! Tsk, tsk, tsk!'
Seeing Scarlett's movement, the woman's face stiffened. Hearing Scarlett ask her uncle's name, she sneered, "My uncle's name is Brayden Hooper. You must not know him. Give up the room for us quickly. If you are dumped by many men in the future, maybe my uncle will give you a job!"
Probably because the woman had gone too far, her mother pulled her.
Scarlett laughed lightly, "Thank you."
Saying that, she paused and continued, "By the way, do you know who I am?"
The woman laughed contemptuously, "It doesn’t matter who you are. No one knows you. Do you think you're a big deal just because you're beautiful? Are you a big star? Does everyone know you? If you were a star, you would probably be an unknown starlet!"
"I'm not a big star or a big deal. But I happen to be an employee in Future Technologies." Saying that, Scarlett smiled, "My name is Scarlett. Perhaps you can ask your uncle. He should know me."
"Scarlett? My uncle is an executive, but you are just an ordinary employee. How could he know you?"
"It's true that I don't know your uncle. But as his colleague, I’ll give up this room for you." Saying that, Scarlett took Raymond's hand and said to Raymond, "Let's go."
