"I'm pregnant!"
Although Scarlett had guessed it, she was a bit surprised when hearing that from." How long have you been pregnant?"
"14 weeks."
Scarlett smiled. "Congratulations! You've become a mother."
Alexis touched her belly. "Time flies. Lettie, I often think back to the days when we played pool together after school. I feel as if we graduated a short time ago, but Justin and I have been married for more than six months, and I'm pregnant."
Alexis covered her face for a moment. "It’s like a dream."
Recalling the old days, Scarlett sighed with emotion. "Yes, it's like a dream.
"Are you going to announce it?"
Alexis' mouth twitched. "No, those paparazzi are crazy. It will be terrible if my child grows up in the public eyes."
Alexis was a bit stupid, but sometimes she was still very smart.
When Alexis was a kid, she aspired to be a star because she wanted to be noticed by millions of people. Alexis had been envying Scarlett and Justin, who were always top students at school. They were successful, and were worshiped by many people.
Alexis knew that she was not intelligent enough to make such achievements, but fortunately, her mother gave her a pretty face, so she always felt that she could be an actress someday.
However, after she became a star, she found that it was not as wonderful as she had imagined.
Alexis was lucky in this circle. Scarlett and Justin always protected her. Even though Alexis used to feel aggrieved, no one dared to bully her.
Yet sometimes Alexis was still a little tired of life in showbiz, especially when she and Justin had to date secretly since they hadn't revealed their relationship at that time.
In the beginning, it was quite exciting and fun, but gradually, she felt restless. What was worse, the paparazzi kept chasing after her.
Meanwhile, the waiter pushed the trolley in and served the food.
Alexis just got pregnant. Unlike other pregnant women, she had a good appetite as always.
Now that she didn’t have to control her weight, she ate more than before without restraint and talked less.
Afraid that Alexis would eat too much, Scarlett stopped her. "Well, you've had enough. You don't want to injure your stomach, right?"
Alexis took a look at the delicious pork and pretended to sob. "Let me take one last bite.
Scarlett saw through Alexis' trick. "Eat some soup."
Scarlett ordered the soup for Alexis, which could nourish Alexis and her baby.
