"I missed you so much." Raymond suspended the kiss and looked down at Scarlett.
Scarlett's eyelids drooped, sher didn't say a word and her eyelashes flutter at his words.
The heat inside the room gradually rose.
Raymond pulled the sheet and covered themselves with it. He leaned in and kissed Scarlett on the forehead, "Good night, baby."
He suddenly called her baby, which made Scarlett felt startled. By the time she came back to her senses, Raymond was already asleep.
Hearing Raymond's steady breathing beside her ear, Scarlett felt a wave of tiredness besiege her. Soon, she too fell asleep.
When Scarlett woke up, the room was still dark. Raymond was lying next to her. He was not yet awake.
Scarlett tilted her head and watched Raymond, who was still asleep.
Raymond must have been hurried to get back. Scarlett knew he must not have slept much in the past few days. He had arranged so many things in such a short time, coming all the way back from Bomsville and inviting her families over. He must have been exhausted.
Looking at the dark circles under Raymond's eyes, Scarlett couldn’t help but lifted her hand to touch them.
Immediately, just as her hand touched his skin, Raymond’s eyes opened.
Seeing Raymond's eyes open, Scarlett subconsciously tried to pull her hand back. But before she could do that, Raymond took her hand in his palm.
