Raymond smiled, looking down at the ring on Scarlett’s hand. "I had wanted to buy new rings. This pair of rings..."
He paused. "I had intended to use them as the fifth anniversary gift."
They had once been married for three years and divorced for two years. It had been five years.
Raymond took off his ring and put it on Scarlett's finger close to her ring.
Scarlett found a number 5 on the two rings that were fitted together.
Scarlett was a little surprised. "There’s no need to buy new rings. I like this one." This ring proved that she had got something in those three years.
The water in front of her cooled. Scarlett picked the glass up and took a sip.
Raymond looked at her, adding, "These are our engagement rings. Let's go to the designer tomorrow for our wedding rings."
After drinking the water, Scarlett glanced at him and answered softly, "Okay."
Raymond suddenly picked up Scarlett.
Scarlett was stunned, put her arms around his neck, and leaned her head on
Raymond's shoulder. He carried her back to the master bedroom.
Scarlett was soon placed on the bed.
