Terrance and Alexia novel Chapter 290

Chapter 290 Develop Intimacy After Getting Married

Keyon nodded thoughtfully, stirring the sugar cubes in his coffee cup casually.

“Keyon, what are you thinking?” Alexa asked directly.

But Keyon kept silent for a long time.

“I just can’t forgive Terrence.”

“You know I’m not talking about him.” Alexa asked persistently, “What happened between you and Giselle? How did you get involved with the Niebergall family?”

The Niebergall family was not an ordinary rich family. It did regular business, but it was also related to gangs.

This was also why many families dared not provoke them.

The Duran Group was having a transition of power. The elders in the family had been complaining about Alexa and Keyon.

Now that Keyon suddenly got involved in Giselle’s matters, if people found something and made a fuss, it would definitely cause a lot of trouble.

“Alexa, do you trust me?”

The atmosphere was a little tense. Alexa looked into Keyon’s eyes. For the first time, she found that she couldn’t see through him.

“Keyon, why don’t you tell me?”

“This matter is very risky. I don’t want to implicate you.” Keyon’s tone was firm. “Just leave everything to me.”

“Although the Duran family needs to transform, it doesn’t need you to do this.”

“Everything is for the family. Alexa, as the eldest son, I must make the necessary sacrifices.”

After a long time, Alexa sighed resignedly.

“Then what do you plan to do?”

Keyon replied, “I’ll get married for business.”

In fact, Alexa already expected this answer. But when Keyon personally said it, she still found it somewhat difficult to accept.

“Alexa, for people like us, marriage is not just about love.”

Alexa looked at him. “But if there is not even love…”

Keyon avoided her gaze uneasily.

“Intimacy can be cultivated, just like you and Kieran.”

Keyon brought up this topic again, but somehow, Alexa didn’t want to talk about it.

“In fact, he likes someone else. And…”

Keyon said, “It doesn’t matter.”

Hearing Keyon’s quick reply, Alexa was instantly stunned.

“What?”

“It doesn’t matter,” Keyon repeated. “No matter who she is, she can’t compare to you, Ms. Duran.”

Alexa nodded stiffly. She didn’t know how she left the café in the end.

By the time Alexa came back to her senses, she was already back in the ward.

Damarion was lying alone on the bed. His breathing had gradually become steady. And it seemed that he was having a sound sleep.

Someone showed up beside Alexa. She smelt the scent of wood. Then a warm blanket was placed on her.

“It’s late at night. It’s very cold outside, isn’t it?” As Terrence spoke, he held Alexa’s hands. “Your hands are indeed very cold. I have asked the chef to prepare the vegetable soup. Have some before sleeping?”

After saying that, Terrence filled a bowl with soup and then handed it to Alexa.

“I’m fine. Thank you.” Alexa shook her head wearily. “I have no appetite. I don’t want to drink it.”

Terrence said, “You haven’t eaten much today.”

He lowered his voice, scooped a small spoonful of soup, and put it beside her mouth.

“Come on. Open your mouth.”

Alexa reluctantly took a small sip. The soup was indeed very delicious.

Terrence fed her half a bowl, and Alexa suddenly remembered something.

“You didn’t eat much today either, did you?”

As Alexa remembered, Terrence had been busy today.

“I am not hungry.” Terrence chuckled. “When you are full, I will eat what you have left.”

Alexa said, “Sorry. I have troubled you again.”

“You are not troublesome.”

Alexa said, “The relationships between the family members are very chaotic, so we need some time to deal with it.”

“OK. I understand.”
