Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love novel Chapter 166

Doris was in a bad mood. She sat on the backseat of the taxi and stared blankly outside.

Landon was about to die, so she decided to pay him a visit. But how could she face Jennie who didn't like her?

Finally, the taxi driver announced, "Beautiful lady, we have arrived at our destination."

"Thank you." After paying, she immediately alighted from the car.

She went straight to the nurse's station and asked for Landon's room number. With a basket of fruit and a bunch of flowers in her hand, she found her way to Landon's room.

She was right. Jay didn't want her to come. Landon liked Doris, but Jay knew that his mother didn't like her.

It would only make their relationship worse if she came.

Therefore, every time Landon asked to see Doris, Jay always came up with excuses.

"Grandpa, Doris is pregnant now. She is suffering from some symptoms and she can't even get out of bed. That's why she can't come here," explained Jay.

To Landon, the child was the most important, so he didn't force Doris to come anymore. "Do everything according to my testament."

"Okay, we will do as you ordered," whispered Jay.

"Will Sarah come back to say goodbye to me?" As an old man who was in the brink of death, he wished nothing but reconciliation.

"I've called her. She will try to come back as soon as possible." This time, Jay was telling the truth.

Sadness crossed Landon's eyes. He heaved a sigh. "I miss her."

"Call her now," Eric butted in.

"Don't rush her. Just wait until she arrives," sighed Landon.

"Okay," Jay answered, holding the old man's hand.

"Jay, I know you are ambitious and bold. Treat Doris well. I like that girl. I know you love her, too." Even though his voice was weak, he still reminded Jay.

There was a devious glint in Jay's eyes. After a short hesitation, he replied, "Yes, grandpa."

"Doris, Doris..." Landon was the first person to notice Doris who was standing at the doorway. He reached out and tried to sit up.

With his reaction, Jay turned his gaze to where his grandfather was looking at. There he found Doris holding a fruit basket and a bunch of flowers in her arms.

'Is she really here?' he thought.

Startled by her sudden appearance, Jay asked, "What brings you here, Doris?"

"I came here to see grandpa," she replied nonchalantly, rooted to where she was standing.

"Doris, come here." With the help of Jennie and Eric, Landon sat up. He glanced at Doris with a smile. "It's very kind of you. I will now be having a great grandson. Thank you, Doris. This is the most precious gift I have received at the last moment of my life!"

Afraid that Doris would uncover the truth, Jay hurriedly held her arm. "Are you feeling better?"

Although Doris didn't understand what was going on, it was easy for her to answer his question.

"Yes, I'm feeling better now," said Doris.

"You are such a filial girl. You haven't forgotten to visit me even though you are pregnant. I've already decided names for my grandchildren. If it's a boy, it's Albert; if it's a girl, it's Becky." Landon was livelier now. Perhaps, it was because Doris dropped by to visit him.

Pregnant?

Doris sneered in her mind, 'Well, it seems that Jay is so good at making things up. He is a better liar than me!'

Jay's smiling eyes swept over her.

To avoid the awkwardness, she put the fruit and flowers on the bedside table before she answered, "Grandpa, I like them both."
