Feeling triumphant, Nancy looked so calm as if nothing had happened.
Unlike her, Anna had a hard time holding back her anger. "Director Nancy, you are really good at acting. Just a while ago, you charged at me like a lunatic. Why are you pretending to be a good person now?"
she shouted angrily.
"Well, Dr. Anna, it's not right for you to talk nonsense." Nancy looked at Jessie innocently. "Director Jessie, did I really attack her?"
As a scheming woman that she was, Jessie had a fair share of bad deeds to Nancy. But never did she go against her in public.
In fact, Jessie couldn't afford to offend Charles.
She thought Anna was smart, yet she bullied a nurse in broad daylight!
Now that she was in an awkward situation, of course she would not blame Nancy, nor would she defend Anna.
The corners of her mouth turned up into an awkward smile. "Oh, I suddenly remember that there is a patient in the ward who needs to change the dressing today. I'll go and have a look..."
Well, the cunning Jessie escaped.
This task was usually done by the nurses. It was not the director’s job anymore.
It was just an excuse to stay out of the conflict between Nancy and Anna.
"You!" Out of frustration, Anna stomped her feet. She couldn't do anything!
"Well, stop it. If this matter gets out, it will have a negative impact on the hospital." The security guard glanced at Anna and then looked at Nancy. "Director Nancy, we know you are a kind person. Well, if you don't have anything else to say, I'll leave now."
"Yes, thank you for coming here. Please go back to your station." Her smile only faded when the guard was gone.
She had never been involved in any conflict before. That was why it was hard to believe that she hit Anna.
Feeling dejected, Anna lowered her head and gritted her teeth.
"Dr. Anna, this issue ends here. Let's remain as colleagues who work together. Goodbye!" Then Nancy held Erin's hand. "Let's go. Don't let this affect you."
"Okay." Erin was still trembling in fear. She really didn't expect Nancy to fight for her.
And she was so fierce.
It was not until Nancy and Erin disappeared that Anna shouted, "Nancy, wait and see!"
She promised to herself that she would get back to Nancy.
"Thank you, Director Nancy!" said Erin.
"You're welcome. Remember, if Dr. Anna dares to bully you again, don't just bear it. If you can't beat her yourself, come to me," said Nancy.
"Okay, I will keep that in mind."
Except for her hand, Nancy didn't have other injuries on her body.
She was even in a good mood.
So she called Charles this afternoon and said she would come with him to pick up the children.
When Nancy called, Charles was in the middle of a meeting. The call he received from Nancy made him smile blankly for a moment.
He was smiling until the senior executives were done reporting, which made them look at each other, and wonder what their boss was doing.
"Mr. Fu, I have finished my presentation. Do you think this project is feasible?" the senior manager who had just presented the project asked in a low voice.
In the past, even if Charles was pleased with the presentation, he would at most nod. As for smiling, it was impossible!
Today... What did that mean?
Passed? Or was the presentation very good?
