A crack on the door attracted her hazy eyes and she eagerly reached out for the exit. Before she could jump out, someone behind her kicked her down again.

Although she did her best to hold on, her body couldn't take it and she fell into a dead faint as she fell out of the minibus.

Just a moment before she passed out, she saw the minibus begin driving away.

Before her consciousness left her, Nancy's last thought was that Evelyn's father must have been the one to save her. It seemed like her words were effective.
