The grievance between the Son of Heaven and James was not particularly significant. James merely manipulated him into taking a blow which caused him severe injuries.

He had long wanted to wring James’ neck.

Unfortunately, James vanished after he left the Celestial Abode.

Now that James had shown up and was acting insolently in Hazted City, he had to take action as the Deputy City Lord.

He gave an order, and his subordinate, Leandro, stepped forward.

The three female college students stood behind James with fearful expressions.

James stared at Leandro who was approaching him. Two years ago, Leandro had severely injured him on Mount Bane. This led James to have bad impressions of the Outsiders.

“What? Aren’t you going to fight me?”

He stared at Leandro calmly and showed no fear.

Leandro came over and stood in front of James. With a look of contempt, he said, “You’re rather talented, James. If you kneel today and apologize to my master, he’ll ask the City Lord to pardon you. After that, you’ll only be behind bars for a decade or so at most. If you refuse then… Hazted City will be your grave today.”

The Son of Heaven raised his head and puffed his chest to express his approval of Leandro’s words. As long as James kneeled, he could indeed exonerate James.

“Ha!” James sneered.

“How can you still laugh when your death is all but assured?”

Leandro’s face darkened, and he attacked. His body flashed in front of James, and he raised his hand. He wanted to lift James up from the ground and toss his back down.

James raised his hand before Leandro could even touch him, blocking his attack.

He squeezed Leandro’s wrist.

Leandro’s expression warped instantly. He used all his strength to try and break away. However, James was too strong and would not release his vise-like grip.

James thrust his other palm forward.

Powerful Palm Energy struck Leandro’s chest.

Leandro wanted to block the attack, but it was already too late. The attack hit him in the chest and he was sent flying into the distance. After only after being blasted away tens of meters did he finally break free from James’ powerful force.

At that moment, his face was pale, and blood trickled from his lips.

The spectators were shocked by the scene.
