Hearing the sound, James looked over.

In the distance, a man quickly flew toward him, appearing in just a few seconds.

James saw the man’s appearance. He did not look too old, about twenty-five or twenty-six. He wore black armor and had a long sword on his waist.

He stood a few meters away and looked at James with a grim and hostile expression.

“Who are you?”

James was puzzled as he could not recognize the man before him.

Enemies?

The man in black armor said, “Let me introduce myself. I’m Quade Hach from the Overworld.”

Hearing the Overworld, James had a bad premonition in his heart. He had slaughtered many Overworld Outsiders and had grievances with those from the Overworld.

After a brief shock, James clasped his fists together and said, “Pleased to meet you, Quade…”

“The Son of Heaven and Magnus were my juniors.”

Quade’s expression was grim. At that moment, powerful energy erupted from his body. James was knocked into the distance as though a mountain had crashed into him.

His Blood Energy churned.

“How strong…”

James was startled. He did not expect this man to be the Son of Heaven and Magnus’ senior.

Both the Son of Heaven and Magnus had died in his hands.

It seemed he would get caught up in an intense battle today.

“The challenge has been activated.”

Just as James was preparing to face his opponent, a voice sounded from the distant sky. Yet, the sound was so clear, as if it was coming from right beside him.

James was startled. ‘Is this how challenges are activated?’

“Huff!”

James immediately took a deep breath.

He was at the Herculean’s Fifth Layer, and his physical strength had reached the Herculean’s Sixth Layer. However, he was still not a match for Quade.

James thought, ‘How strong is he?”

While still shocked, the Demonic Lotus in his body unleashed Demonic Energy. The Demonic Energy flowed through his body and healed his body’s injuries instantly.

James seized the chance and quickly backed away, keeping a safe distance from Quade.

Seeing an injury forming on James’ fist and permeating his body, Quade concluded that James would die. However, James’ body recovered as he backed away.

“I underestimated you.”

His face darkened and was hostile.

Quade drew his sword and gripped it, causing a terrifying force to sweep toward James. He leaped into the air and dashed toward James, slashing his sword forward.

James quickly dodged the attack.

Quade’s sword slammed into the ground, and an explosion burst out, causing a bottomless pit to appear in the ground.
