James’ spoke in a measured tone.

“Alright.”

The Elephant King looked at James and said with a smile, “Since you’ve already challenged me, I’ll look like a coward if I don’t accept. Let’s do it. If I lose to you, my troops will immediately withdraw from the Southwest Province.”

“It’s not just a simple match. It’ll be a duel to the death.”

James added an important clause.

The simply winning a match would not solve the problem at hand.

He wanted to have fight to the death and kill the Elephant King.

Only by doing so will he be able to deter the other beasts from acting.

At that moment, a crisp voice rang out.

James turned toward the sound and saw a young man in a black robe not far from them. He recognized the man with a single glance. It was Lucifer, the person he resurrected in the Ancient Realm.

James looked at Lucifer and asked, “Why are you here?”

Lucifer smiled faintly and replied, “That’s besides the point. I approve the duel between you and the Elephant King. The beast army will immediately withdraw from the Southwest Province if you manage to kill him.”

Lucifer was not joking.

It was no secret that he obtained the Elysian Inscription.

All beasts on the Earth were under his command.

A single word would be all it took and these beasts would no longer step into human territory.

James looked at Lucifer and immediately understood that the Elephant King attacked a human territory under Lucifer’s orders.

Had he known this would happen, he would not have resurrected Lucifer.
