“You’re here for the key?” Yente looked at James.

James replied, “The Cloud Race is no longer one of the Ten Great Races, so you’re no longer legitimate to guard the key. If the key falls into the hands of other races, and they free the frightening person within the Formation, this will be a threat to all of us. I’ve come here with orders to gauge the Cloud Race’s capabilities. If the Cloud Race can resist the Bug Race’s attack, I’ll let the key remain in your custody. Otherwise, before the Cloud Race’s base camp is completely taken over, you must hand over the key to us.”

James was deceiving his way through. He knew nothing about the Ten Great Races. He also did not know why Soren was trapped in the Cloud Race’s restricted area, but deception was the only trick up his sleeves.

“Hmph,” Yente was obviously not happy about this. “The Ten Great Races were allies at one point. Now that we’ve fallen behind, other Races no longer saw us as legitimate.
