“Feel free to ask him, then.”

James then strode straight ahead.

Leilani hesitated for a moment before catching up to him, asking, “Did he really say those things?”

“Of course.”

“How did you reply then?”

“I turned down his request, of course. I’m used to being alone, so I don’t want to have a partner, lest you become an obstacle to the path of greatness.”

“Hmph!” Leilani grunted coldly and said, “Am I not beautiful or enticing enough for you? Or do you perhaps think I’m not worthy of you? Even if you accepted Father’s offer, I won’t allow for this.”

She rebuffed him.

Just like that, James and Leilani bickered all the way to the Desolate Galaxy.

Though Leilani was a distinguished princess who was respected everywhere she went, James had obtained the Herb and Reclusion and had no need to curry favor with her anymore. So, he simply could not care less about her opinion.
