Thea’s demeanor immediately shifted. Her innocent appearance was gone, and she became like a demon. Her long black hair lifted into the air, and a wicked aura erupted from her body. Veins bulged on her face, making her look hideous and terrifying.

She casually waved her hand, and black energy spread in the air.

The black energy devoured the living beings, and their skeletal remains dropped to the ground.

“You!” James was furious. He rushed over to Thea and raised his palm.

Thea brought her face close to James’ palm and said, “Go ahead and hit me.”

Although Thea had no idea who James was, she could tell from their previous interactions that he had no intentions of hurting her.

“Damn it,” James cursed with his hand still in the air.

He scanned the surroundings and saw the great number of casualties in a huge area of the city.

Meanwhile, those that survived watched in fear.

“It’s Zaire!”

“She’s here to slaughter everyone in the city! Hurry and evacuate!”

The survivors frantically fled for their lives.

James watched in distress. He raised his palm, and many inscriptions emerged. The time in the area regressed, and the dead were resurrected.

He looked at the furious Thea and said, “I’ll revive every living being you kill.”

“I’d like to see how many you can save.”

Thea was irritated by his actions. She leaped into the air and looked down at the city. A black aura emerged from her body and instantly shrouded the city.

James used his profound knowledge of the different Paths to resurrect the dead creatures again.

By doing so, he attracted even stronger Karma. He fell to the ground and spat out a mouthful of blood.

“Hmph.” Thea looked at him from the sky and snorted. Then, she turned around and disappeared from his sight.

James wanted to chase after her, but he was contaminated with terrifying Karma. He had no choice but to neutralize the Karma Power first.

He gave up following her and sat in a lotus position to refine the Karma Power.

Meanwhile, the living beings that were revived were made aware of James’ terrifying powers. Terrified, they did not dare linger in the city and fled.

James was not afraid of Karma. In fact, he could refine them and convert them into his own Path Powers.

He was currently at the Quasi Boundless Supreme Path Rank, and his strength improved at a very slow rate. Despite setting up a time formation, it took him a very long time to completely absorb the Karma he had attracted.
