A small frown creased James’ forehead.

Meanwhile, Lesia heaved a deep breath. “You won’t be able to damage the trust between me and my master by saying that.

“We are connected mentally and spiritually. Moreover, we are even willing to die for the other person.”

“Hahaha! You're willing to die for the other person?!” Xanthakos laughed hysterically. “Did you hear that, James Caden? She couldnʼt, and she wouldnʼt dare give you a straightforward answer!

According to her and Emperor Yarden, that was the only way for them to overcome the Leere Tribulation and exterminate the Waitara Pathʼs Soremsia upon his return.

In a way, James was their pawn. He was a top-ranked pawn since he was being manipulated by the Nine Caeloros Gods of Nothingness.

As Xanthakos extended his arms, the Gate of Mystery behind him grew larger by thousands of folds. The Bohnwer Light coming from the gate shone with greater intensity as well.

“Watch out, Master! He wants to pull us all into the Gate of Mystery. That way, he’ll be able to get rid of us for good,” said Lesia.

Upon hearing Lesiaʼs warning, James immediately fused with the Jozo Sword again.

Before the Bohnwer Light reached him, he shot toward the direction where Thea and Morgott were.

In the sword form, James swiftly reached the pair and carried them along as he headed in the opposite direction of the Gate of Mystery.

Meanwhile, the Bohnwer Light had engulfed the sacred lotus formed through the Three Treasures Integration left behind by Jamesʼ group.

“Thea! Morgott! Get out of here as fast as you can! Don’t worry about what happens here, and donʼt ask me any questions now.

“Head back to the Great Historial Land. Stay in there until I come back for you guys!”

After giving them instructions, James immediately tossed Thea and Morgott toward a safe, faraway area.
