The Divine Marius slowly closed his eyes and replied, “He is the Wyrmscale Source, Gryphon Lorensen.”

Upon hearing the name, Emperor Zdravko’s expression changed dramatically, and his eyes filled with fear. He immediately asked, “Do you mean Sir Gryphone, one of the three Great Holiness of the Haleth Realm, a transcendent being on par with the Waitara Path and Emperor Tapia?”

The Divine Marius sighed lightly and nodded slowly.

Emperor looked at Thea, who was being tormented by fire and lighting, then said, “We’re in trouble. Even James might not be able to save her.”

The Divine Marius opened his eyes and said, “We must save her! Otherwise, how will I explain this to James?”

After speaking, his body released a dazzling light, and he instantly transformed into a purple-gold beast. His tentacles reached out to the flames and lighting surrounding Thea, then began shoving them into his mouth.

Thea suddenly raised her head and shouted, “You’re not a match against him! Leave!”

The Divine Marius, revealing his true form, ignored her plea and continued to devour the flames and lightning.

At that moment, a majestic voice echoed from the void. “You’re so insolent, Marius!”

As the voice faded, countless flames and lightning from the surrounding void hurtled toward Thea with greater intensity.

After consuming the last flames, Marius spread his entire massive body into the shape of a hand fan to shield her from the attacks.

Each lightning strike inflicted deep wounds on his colossal form, exposing bone. As flames closed in, his scorched flesh hissed and emitted ominous white smoke.

Under the onslaught of relentless lightning and flames, Marius’ body became increasingly engulfed by the inferno and electrical fury. Soon, his body was nearly completely burnt. Yet, despite the overwhelming assault, he remained steadfast in shielding Thea, showing no sign of retreat.

“Divine Marius!” Thea cried, tears streaming down her face, attempting to break free from his protection, only to find herself immobilized.

At that moment, a graceful figure rushed forward, appearing atop Divine Marius’ massive shoulders.

“He’s my man! I’m the only one who can hurt him! Others, begone!” With a commanding growl, Taichu extended his hand and unleashed a stream of dazzling lights to form protective barriers to block the barrage of lightning and fire.

Marius protested, “Why are you meddling, you foolish woman? Get out of here! I don’t appreciate your help!”

Taichu snorted, “Who’s asking for your appreciation? You’re overthinking it. I’m doing this for the sake of my beloved Yin governor, not you.”
