James took it and said with a smile, "Thank you."

The soldier quickly left after passing James the hare.
James strung the rabbit and looked at Blake, asking, "Blake, why don’t you enlighten me about what happened a hundred years ago?"

Maxine took a few steps forward and stopped in front of James.
A smile formed on her pretty face as she greeted, "James."

How can you write a novel this bad, I'm pissed of reading all the mistakes with the main characters. Try reading the charismatic Charlie ward. It's along the same plot but a much better read....
