"With several countries concurrently targeting us, do you think Diatoran has a good chance of winning this time?" Willow asked, concerned.
"We'll be fine. It's true that these enemies are powerful, but the soldiers of Diatoran are courageous and highly skilled. As long as we work together, we can definitely defeat the enemy!" Caspian said with conviction.
"I heard that the war in West Aridlands is so tense that even the King has gone over in person. It seems like the situation is not favorable," Willow said worriedly.
"Don't worry, honey. I have faith in Diatoran. The situation is critical now because the enemies launched a sneak attack on us.
"We've prepared ourselves. Once we face them head-on on the battlefield, we'll definitely be in the lead," Caspian replied firmly.
The consolidated strength of Diatoran ranked among the best in the world. Even though it was rather challenging to fight these countries, they could definitely win as long as their men advanced with vigilance at a steady pace.
"What about Southlake City and South Aridlands?" Willow was still worried.
"Since I'm in charge of South Aridlands, there won't be a problem. Don't worry about these things, honey. Have a good night's rest. Everything will be fine," Caspian said and smiled as he stroked Willow's cheek.
Willow nodded her head and fell into a deep sleep.
However, Caspian could not fall asleep at all. He tossed and turned. An hour later, Willow was already fast asleep but Caspian was still wide awake.
Now that the war was about to begin, Caspian thought about something he needed to do. He walked out of his bedroom and took out the Eldorian Scroll fragment.
He wanted to take this opportunity to study the mysteries within the Eldorian Scroll fragment.
Unfortunately, even after half an hour had passed, he still could not comprehend the contents of the scroll fragment. They were very different from the first fragment he found.
They were all complex diagrams that Caspian could not understand at all.
He then put the Eldorian Scroll fragment away.
He came to Zoey's bedroom.
But before he could knock, a sharp cry was heard coming from the room.
Caspian was stunned. His mind began racing as he wondered what was happening and why Zoey was wailing miserably in the middle of the night.
He wondered if something bad had happened to her. Did someone come to assassinate her?
With that in mind, adrenaline took over. But then he remembered that there were guards around the villa. It would be absolutely impossible for anyone to enter the villa.
Perhaps it was someone with powers greater than that of a supreme grandmaster?
Caspian felt that something was wrong. He picked up the Diatanium dagger and slowly turned the doorknob to Zoey's room.
The lights were switched on, and Zoey was lying on the bed. She was wrapped in her quilt, and her hands seemed to be moving around. There was a pained expression on her face.
Zoey did not expect that Caspian would show up all of a sudden. She was startled when she saw Caspian coming in.
"Caspian! Why did you enter my room?" Zoey exclaimed.
First, Caspian took a look around the room. He was relieved that no one else was in the room.
"What's wrong, Zoey? Why did you let out an odd cry?" Caspian asked as he looked at Zoey.
"Aren't you afraid of Willow finding out that you came into my room? Also, weren't you just doing it …" Zoey felt too shy to finish her sentence.
"What? We're already done with it. It's been more than an hour.
"I heard your scream and thought that someone was here to assassinate you. That's why I came over to have a look," Caspian explained.
Zoey did not have to finish her sentence for Caspian to know what she was trying to say.
He did not want Zoey to misunderstand his intention.
"Are you sick? Why do you look so miserable?" Caspian asked.
