The Alpha’s Contract (Taylor West) novel Chapter 224

“I assume you wanted to speak to me about something.” He asks coldly

“I believe Salem is dead.”

He stills, his eyes shifting from the paperwork up to me. The crimson colour still didn’t quite sit right with me, but it wasn’t such a surprise each time I looked at him now. Though Raven had said that Dane always believed it was because he was Alpha. I’ve met enough Alpha’s to know that crimson eyes were not common, in fact, I’ve never seen another Wolf with them.

“I was down in the training hall. I felt this awful pain, spiralling in my heart. Like my life was being sucked from me.”

He rocks in his chair, giving me a knowing look. “That’s the pain of losing a sibling. It’s what Raven and I felt when Jenson cut us off. But you are here, so you didn’t kill him?”

“No, like I said, I was in the training hall.”

“I hope he suffered for what he did to Eric’s kids and Raven.”

“You mean Jensons kids?”

“Eric raised them. You should have told him. Maybe it would have helped……I don’t know at this point. I think he’s lost it.”

“Words won’t help him, Dane. We both know that. Just be grateful he isn’t a Lycan.”

He didn’t need to ask me what I meant, he knew exactly what I was saying.

“Are you making Klaus your Beta?” I press

He presses his lips into a thin line as he clenches his jaw. “I should, but no.”

“You can’t wait for the drunk to sort it out!”

        She made an author note explaining that they’ll be less & shorter updates through out September. I can’t wait for it to amp up again!!!

        Hi, I’m usually a silent reader, and first of all, I love the story, but is it possible to avoid the blue texts? Cuz a lot of us are missing a lot of the story due to the texts not loading.           Yes! My blue code was working all the way until maybe a week ago so I had to do constant refreshes. Also, I too have been having constant pop ups when typing in the code. For some reason it’s getting harder to close the other pop up’s as well.

          I'm having the same issue and, missing a lot of the story because the blue texts wont load. As well as constant pop ups and windows open anytime I click on the page just to enter the code or anything.

            It does that with other stories too. I think it’s because this is not one of the agreed sites by the Author. The amount of guessing I’m having to do with not just this story but the others I’m reading (boredom strikes when updates don’t) is unreal. Updates have slowed down massively this year and translations are terrible too. I’d hoped this was different as the only one I’m reading that is originally English but it’s just the same.

              I love the way you are continuing the story. It's easy to follow, easy to pause, and easy to get back on track with. Me having three little children, it's hard to find "me time" but when I do I get caught up with this book. I love it!!!!...
