*DEREK's POV*
Seeing that she didn't complain as I soothed her back, I realized that she wasn't that indifferent towards me after all. The nightmare she saw must be too much for her that she was even willing to lean on me.
She just laid on my chest silently, not uttering a word.
Just what did she see that she'd go as far as to tell me not to trust her? After a while of staying in that position. I glanced at the clock and noticed that it was almost time to go.
"Venus?" I whispered.
She didn't respond.
"...You got to wake up now. Don't you have anything to pack anymore?"
She groans, shaking her head.
"Then..." I trailed off, "Shouldn't you at least shower?"
"Are you saying I smell?"
"No, it's a routine. Why do you have to take everything I say so negatively?"
She scoffs in disbelief, "I doubt that. The first time we met, you said I smelled bad, remember?"
She's talking about the day when she signed up for the competition. I frowned. At that time, she didn't smell bad at all. It was just because there was a man's scent was all over her body. But I wasn't going to tell her that.
"I forgot,"
"You keep calling me a liar, but look at you lying without batting an eyelid." She slightly pulls away, pinning her gaze on me. "Since we both have to shower, why not just do it together?"
I coughed excessively and fought the arousal exploding under me. Just why does this woman always say stuff like this?! I'm barely fighting the urge to punish her for teasing me like this.
Damn it.
I flicked her forehead, "Stop joking around. Are you gonna shower or not?"
She pouts and glares at me. She caressed the middle spot on her forehead where I just hit her and grumbled slightly, "You're such a killjoy."
As she pulled away from my embrace, I couldn't help but crave her touch where she just left. I gazed at her back as her scent remained on my body. She didn't even bother looking back as she strode towards the bathroom.
I sighed, feeling pathetic.

"Where are you sitting?" I asked when I saw that Venus tried to get on the mini van's back seat, my hands on her elbow. She just shrugged me off.
"Where else? I'm sitting with Jojo."
"Why? You can sit beside me while I drive."
"Why are you even driving? Last time I checked, we aren't short on omegas."
"This is more convenient...so just go and sit beside me. Okay?"
"Why should I?" She raises an eyebrow. Her arm crossed as she showed displease. "Why are you acting so close? if you're going to act like this, you should've just showered with-"
In impulse, my hand was quick to cover her mouth in a hurry. Since her whole squad was listening to the conversation, I couldn't help but protect her reputation.
