While I just focused my gaze on the view beside me.
The drive to Stone City didn't even take more than 5 hours. And I assumed that it was due to Derek's current mood. He didn't like Seff staying with us. Moreso, Seff didn't even bother how pissed Derek looked and continued to annoy Derek throughout the whole ride.
Finally, he stops the car.
Knowing that we already arrived at the location, Jojo happily opened the door for us. His enthusiasm reached Liam as he shook him to wake up. Noah and Easton get off. When I finally stepped out of the vehicle, I noticed that we were at the parking spot of a luxurious hotel in Stone City.
"Neat." Liam whistles in praise.
"Okay, get all your bags. We'll be staying at this hotel before the summit takes place. Make sure not to leave anything behind." Derek says as he steps out of the car.
Complying with was he said, we all went behind the vehicle and took our bags. Surprisingly, Seff snatched my bag in a hurry, and smiled.
I raised an eyebrow, "What are you doing? Give me my bag."
"I'll carry it for you."
"Don't be ridiculous and give it to me-" I tried reaching for it, but he tried to play like a pole, making me unable to reach it as he held my bag above his head. Doing several attempts to grab it, my patience got cut when it dawned to me that he wasn't planning to give it to me anytime soon. This psycho is intentionally angering me!
"You're really cute." He chuckles, laughing at my state. "Let me carry it. I'm doing it for free anyway."
"I don't need your help, okay?" I replied, irritated.
I've had enough of playing. This time, I tried punching him in the gut, yet he still assumed it entertaining as he dodged all my attacks. Lowering my back, I snatched my knife from my waist and threatened his neck against it. He immediately froze on the spot.
He smirks, "You know... weapons aren't allowed inside the hotel, right?"
It only took a second before someone separated us. Derek forcefully grabs my bag away from his grip and throws it into my hands. I didn't even know how he did that, but I was plenty thankful.
I hugged my bag tightly in my arms.
"Ah, we were just having fun." Seff pouts.
"I'll kill you," I growled, glaring at Seff as he laughed at my reaction.
"Stop fighting like kids, and Seff." Derek looks at him, "Don't you have someone you have to meet at this hour?"
"Oh, that's right, I have to meet that old hag of ours." He grins, his eyes switching between all of us, "Well, it's been fun staying with you, Crescent moon wolves. I hope we cross paths again."
"I hope not," I grumbled.
After he made his leave, we all sighed in relief. Finally, the psychopath was out of range. We followed silently behind Derek as he led us to the hotel. The others seemed shocked at how glorious the place was, yet because I've been in several areas, I'm not that even surprised.
While Derek checks in for us, Easton walks beside me. "What's going on between you and Alpha Seff?"
As Noah, Liam and Jojo heard Easton, they all went around me and waited for an answer. I heaved out a sigh, "Nothing,"
"Is he your ex?!" -Jojo.
"Mate?" - Noah.
"Fuck buddy?" Easton gasps.
Saying those words in union, I wasn't able to stop my hand from automatically slapping them at the back of their heads. They cursed, feeling the strength at the palm of my hand.
"Ugh! Mercy!" Noah complains.
