The Apple of My Eye novel Chapter 1546

At Cloud Advertising Company, Sheryl kept on sneezing, so Isla couldn't help but tease, "Did you know what they say about people who can't stop sneezing? Someone somewhere is missing you. Do you think Charles is missing you now?"

Sheryl couldn't suppress her laugh after hearing Isla's words. She then shook her head and retorted, "Stop with your theories. Why don't you just believe I have the flu? By the way, you are really a big gossip. Does Aron know that?"

Sheryl was just making fun of Isla. She knew that Aron loved Isla deeply. Isla was such a lucky girl to have met Aron, her Mr. Right.

However, her careless question sent Isla deep in thought.

Isla was well aware of her flaws. She knew she didn't have a gentle temper. There were times when she would act extremely stubborn with Aron. He cared about her and tolerated her tantrums, which made things worse; she had become even more self-centered. In many cases, she ignored Aron's feelings.

She had always taken Aron's love for granted, and she failed to feel it in her heart. But last time when she was in the hospital, Aron took good care of her. He carefully and patiently waited for her to recover. She could tell how deeply he was concerned about her. That was when the realization of his love struck her. Her blind eyes were open. She was finally able to see what a perfect husband he truly was. She regretted being oblivious to his love for such a long time. She was so afraid that one day she might lose his love because she didn't treasure it. 'Is it too late for me to make amends?' she wondered.

"Isla, what's wrong?" Sheryl asked worriedly. She had only meant to tease her, but she didn't expect her words would put her friend in such a forlorn mood.

Isla was pulled back to reality after Sheryl called her. She didn't want to tell Sheryl the truth, so she changed the topic. She looked at Sheryl and sighed, "I was just thinking about how deeply you and Charles love each other. Yet you find it hard to get along with Melissa. I wonder how you can live peacefully in this situation."

Sheryl's face clouded over as she heard Isla's words.

Truth be told, she hadn't figured out how to get along with Melissa in the future.

But she believed that in the end things would be fine. As long as Charles and she loved each other, her relationship with Melissa would get better.

"Don't worry. I'll find a solution to these problems, trust me," Sheryl smiled.

Isla was also a little relieved after hearing Sheryl's positive response.

She breathed a sigh of relief and said joyfully, "Fine, let's drop this topic. You and Charles are devoted to each other. I think you can overcome any obstacle that befalls you. But my situation is different. Even though Aron loves me, he treats me like a child. He doesn't think I'm capable of doing anything. I don't know how to get him to trust me!"

Isla pouted her lips as she complained. Sheryl chuckled to herself and said as if she was suddenly enlightened, "Oh I got it. Isla, you are whining because you think Aron doesn't treat you the way you deserve to be treated, right? I think I will have to discuss about this with him personally. I'd like to know what he has done to displease you."

"Sheryl, what bullshit are you talking about?" Isla said in a high pitched voice. Her face turned crimson red as Sheryl teased her. She looked at Sheryl pleadingly as she patted her shoulder.

When Sheryl was about to say something, Phoebe knocked on the door and came in.

"Ms. Xia, your cell phone is shut down so Mr. Xu of the Blue Cloud Technology called me. He wanted to talk with you about the contract we signed last time," Phoebe informed her.

Phoebe casually glanced at Isla. However, she was surprised to find that Isla's face was red.

When she was about to give Isla another look, Isla got up and left abruptly. Before leaving, she said, "Fine, I am leaving. You should also leave as soon as you finish your work. I'm sure your children are missing you at home!"

Today the company got a big order, so many people had to work overtime, including Sheryl.

Before Sheryl could bid farewell to Isla, she had already left. Sheryl shook her head and burst into a bitter smile. Then she took out her cell phone and found that her phone was indeed powered off.
