Carla grinned " Yeah, or what do you think? " 

" No way! I'm cool with the idea! " Diana agreed eagerly and they picked the time and restaurant. 

" Okay, we'll see later then " Carla said and hung up. 

" What's that all about? " Liam spoke up, glancing sideways at her. 

She smiled " I'm having dinner with Diana tonight " 

" Are you up for it? " Liam asked.  

" Of course! I'm up for anything right now " She replied gaily. 

" Why did you want to see her anyway? You said you wanted to tell her something " He asked, frowning. 

She nodded " Yeah, I have to inform her about the pregnancy " 

He eyed her " You could have just told her on the phone when she called "

She rolled her eyes " No Liam, it's a face to face talk, I have to see her " 

This time, it was Liam who rolled his eyes " Whatever, when are you leaving? I can give you a ride " He offered, having her best interest at heart. 

She shook her head and gave him a sweet smile " No honey, I'll manage just fine " 

His cheeks turned red at the name she called him and he coughed slightly " Why? "

She shrugged " No particular reason, i would like it better if Ben take me there " 

He nodded, giving in to her decision " Okay "

" I was planning on taking you out on a date until Mom butt in " He looked somewhat annoyed. 

" Liam! " She snapped at him. 

" What? " He asked, staring at her from under his thick lashes. 

She shook her head " We can still go on that date you know " She intoned and regarded him under her long eyelashes. 

He laughed " No way! Two dates in a day?! Not gonna happen baby " 

" Why? " She whined. 

He dropped the newspaper and crossed the distance between them in quick, long strides. 

He got in the bed with her and closed the distance between them " I don't wanna stress you out Bella, I'll make it up to you I promise "

" Though I didn't mean for this to happen and it wasn't my fault but Mom's " He added softly. 

Carla rolled her eyes " It's all your fault Mr Blake, why didn't you inform me earlier that you wanted to take me out? Diana did nothing wrong, she was just fast in stating what she wanted "

He put his hands up in surrender " Okay fine, it's my fault, I admit it " 

" Better " She said and waved her hand in dismissal. 

" Why? What's wrong with you? " Edwina asked in concern. 

" I've been really weird lately " and she explained everything to Edwina who laughed after listening to Carla. 

" Everything you said you're experiencing is perfectly normal Carla, you're okay " Edwina assured her. 

Liam finally knew she was the doctor Carla went to see. It seemed to him like they had formed a friendship within the short period Carla met her. It would bade well for her, he decided. 

" Are you sure? " Carla asked softly, as though she needed the assurance. 

" Of course! Cheer up girl and go give that man of yours a hard time, you made the baby together after all " Edwina said, laughing and Carla echoed her , looking sideways to see Liam's eyes had darkened to a deeper shade of their color. 

" Yeah! " Carla said excitedly, totally agreeing with her. 

" Go girl! " Edwina hailed her and they both laughed heartily. 

" Thanks honey " Carla said gratefully, her mind now at peace. 

" I'll see you later, huh? " She added with a giggle. 

" Yeah and call me whenever you feel uncomfortable or something, okay? " Edwina said. 

" Sure, bye! " Carla said and dropped the phone.
