Chapter 43: (Xavier's POV)- Hair Tie
"How long did this take?" she gasped as she took in her surroundings and slowly walked to the table.
"The three hours you were locked up in your room," I chuckled while scratching the back of my neck. She abruptly stopped walking as I stopped behind her. She slowly turned to face me and took a step closer.
"You are delusional," she whispered before pulling my lips down to hers for a short moment.
"I should be delusional more often," I whispered to myself as we continued walking to the table. I walked over to her side and pulled the chair out for her before taking my seat.
"You did all this by yourself or did you have some help?" she arched an eyebrow at me suspiciously.
"I wish I asked for help but no, I didn't. All by myself." I smiled while looking around.
Not too bad.
I had put up fairy lights branching from the tree and had set up a table for two with a candle of course. I tried my hardest to make it look like it was out of a romance movie but I don't know how close I got, all I know is that she likes it and that's all that matters to me.
God, that sounds so corny. "I love what you did but you didn't have to, I would've been happy with cuddling on the couch and watching movies the whole night. But thank you for tonight." she grinned at me.
"Well, don't get too smiley yet. I was on a little time crunch so," I lifted the lid to reveal... spaghetti.
"Spaghetti! Oh my god, I was craving it thank you!" she laughed before putting her plate out for me to place food in.
"I am so in love with you," I said in complete seriousness.
Her eyes widened for a split second before she cleared her throat and fidgeted with her earring.
"Spaghetti please?" she blushed while chuckling very slightly. I nodded while laughing slightly before putting some in her plate then taking some in mine.
We ate while making conversation, talking about school, teachers, Vi and Ace, her parents, my mom and Robert. Our food was long gone and it was just us talking, on and on and on. We were sitting and I had cracked a joke which she was laughing at when we felt slight drops of rain on us.
Her laughter came to a halt as she looked up at the sky. "We should get the table inside," she suggested. I nodded and she grabbed a few dishes while I picked up the table and carried it into the garage, deciding to fold it up later.
I kept the lights up because they were waterproof, lucky huh? I looked around the kitchen and the house for her but didn't find her so I knew she went back outside. And so she did.
I walked over to her smiling and laughing as rain poured down on her, hard. I wanted to call her back inside so she wouldn't get sick like I did last time, but I decided to let her enjoy this time, plus, she looked beautiful dancing and spinning around and that is a sight for sore eyes.
I leaned against the doorframe, resting my head on it as I smiled to myself like an idiot. "You coming Parker?" she called out as she saw me watching her. I chuckled before walking out into the rain and up to her. "Here to drag me back in?" she huffed, folding her arms across her chest.
"No." I shook my head with a small smile that made hers widen. She squealed before wrapping her arms around my neck and hugging me tightly.
I noticed how she went back to her short height, making me realize she left her heels inside. I wrapped my arms around her waist before spinning her around, making her laugh louder.
We were both drenched head to toe and we're probably gonna end up with one hell of a cold in our summer break. How is it raining so much? I guess for the first time in a while, god's on my side, at least he made it rain after my dinner if my setup would've gone to waste I'd be mad.
I set her down before she looked up at me and said, "We're gonna be really sick." she laughed slightly.
"So?" I asked, my brows furrowing together. She smiled even wider at that before grabbing my hand and leading me to the swings. She sat on one while I decided to push her instead of getting on the other one.
