Chapter 220

Marie went upstairs and knocked on the door. The door suddenly swung open, accompanied by Iliana’s angry
voice, “What are you doing again!”
Marie smiled awkwardly, “lliana, it’s me.”
Iliana was taken aback and felt awkward. She pulled Marie into the room and asked, “Marie, why are you
here? I heard from Sasha that you were back. I didn’t expect you to come here today”
Looking at Iliana’s flushed face, Marie said, “You look good. It seems that Andres took good care of you.”
Iliana’s face turned even redder, and she helplessly said, “Don’t mention Andres! Just piss me off!”
Marie smiled and replied, “I really have to thank him this time. If it weren’t for him protecting you, Shirley and
the others wouldn’t know how to bully you.”
Hearing that, Iliana looked melancholy and apologized to Marie, “Marie, it’s my fault. I didn’t manage to keep
our business and our brand. JCL has been transferred to Shirley’s name, and the clothing I designed has
been discontinued. Now all the clothes displayed in the store are all designed by Nataly.”
Marie patted Iliana and reassured her, “It’s okay. I’ll take care of it. With such a big studio and such a popular
brand, even if Olive wants to swallow everything, she’s not afraid of choking. I’ll make her return everything to
us, just as it was!”
Iliana nodded. From the beginning to the end, she unconditionally and unquestioningly trusted her. Marie
seemed to be the backbone of all of them. As long as she was there, there were no obstacles she couldn’t
overcome.
After lingering in the Robert residence for over an hour, Marie returned to Glorious Estate with Dennis. When she saw the documents placed on the coffee table, it reminded her of the things she had taken from Asher’s
safe.
She took out the items and handed them to Dennis, saying, “These are what Grandpa repeatedly told me to
keep before his passing. One is a birth certificate, and the other is a cemetery contract. I haven’t read it yet.”
Dennis held her hand and said, “Don’t be afraid. I’m here. Open it and take a look.”
Marie opened the documents. The first one was her birth certificate, indicating that she was born in Las
Vegas Fifth Hospital and the attending doctor was Barth July.
The second was a cemetery purchase contract, the location of Las Vegas Cemetery was clearly stated, and
the final signature was Asher’s.
Stunned, Marie asked, “The first one is my birth certificate. I get it now. But what is this second contract for the cemetery? Grandpa’s cemetery is not here. Why did Grandpa buy this plot of land?”
Dennis asked, “What did Asher say to you before he died?”
Marie thought for a moment, she lowered her head and said, “Grandpa said that my mother is a good
mother… and he also said that we should get along well…”
Dennis looked at Marie and said, ‘Based on the purchase date, as far as I know, only one person in the
Spence family passed away around that time
Marie paused for a moment, her eyes reddened She asked, ‘Is this my mother’s cemetery?”
Dennis nodded and said, “I think so. Asher bought a piece of land in his name to bury your mother. The
Spence family probably doesn’t even know about it.
With red teary eyes, Marie said, “That means.. my mother isn’t missing, right? She has a grave and a
tombstone, it’s just that all these years, no one has ever gone to pay respects to her, is that true?”
Dennis embraced her and comforted, “Marie, don’t think too much. When these things are all resolved, Til
accompany you back to Las Vegas and we’ll find out.”
Marie nodded After Dennis calmed her down, Marie went back to her room to sleep. She had learned about
her mother’s burial site, it seemed that there was a bigger mystery That night was destined to be restless.
Dennis gave Marie’s birth certificate to Cullen With the hospital where she was born and even the doctor who
delivered her, Cullen should be able to quickly find out what happened back then. At least he could find out
what happened to Luisa during the delivery that led to her subsequent mental instability
In France, Dennis asked Clayton to investigate Aubree’s past. Her excessive interest in Marie was too
obvious. Although Aubree had provided her with the best resources so far, Dennis was still uneasy. Why
would an unrelated person recognize her as a goddaughter?
As for Marie, she had important matters to attend to with Luca today!
It was rare for Darwin to take the initiative to go hiking with Sabrina that day, and Marie conveniently waited
at their destination.
In order to get cozy with Darwin, Sabrina didn’t bring any bodyguards or assistants, which made things much
easier for Marie.
Luca knocked Sabrina unconscious and threw her into the van. Darwin greeted, ‘Ms. Spence, you’re back.”
Marie nodded. “You go back. You don’t need to show up for this kind of thing.”
“Okay.” Darwin glanced disdainfully at the van and remarked, “Settle it quickly. I’ll feel uncomfortable just
being around her for another day.”
“Don’t worry It’ll be over soon,” Marie replied.
After seeing off Darwin, Marie and Luca drove the van and dumped Sabrina at an abandoned warehouse. They splashed cold water on her and she woke up.
Seeing Marie, Sabrina’s eyes displayed some fear. But then she remembered Now that we held Sasha’s leverage in our hands, so what was there to be afraid of?
Throwing her phone into Sabrina’s arms, Marie said, “I don’t feel like wasting my time talking to you. Call Olive and make her come out to find you.”
Sabrina laughed and said, “Do you think I’m stupid, Marie? At this point, how could I possibly help you deal
with Olive?”
Get Boos
“You’re wrong. I’m not asking you to help me deal with her. I’m threatening you. Perhaps my methods are too
gentle.”
Marie gave a signal to Luca, and the latter called over a few tall and strong men.
With a smile, Marie said, “Sabrina, you only have two choices. One, call Olive and trick her into coming out.
Two, I’ll have these guys entertain you well. Darwin will soon know how disgusting you are, but you probably don’t mind. After all, you were a hostess before your debut, and just whitewashing it. I can still dig up those
