The Beauty and the Brain by Natalie Jones novel Chapter 222

Chapter 222

Olive looked out the door and saw Dennis walking in.

The weather gradually warmed up. He was wearing a black shirt with dark patterns. The cufflinks were

delicate and shiny. Striding in with his pair of long legs, Dennis had an imposing aura. His facial features

were as delicate as a sculpture, with natural nobility and elegance.

Olive’s heart skipped a beat. He’s Dennis Whitney! All the socialites in New York wanted to marry him!

Dennis was the dream lover of many people and the one Olive wanted to marry.

Olive’s eyes lit up when she looked at Dennis. Kevin was a little unhappy. Dennis walked in and sat on the

couch on the side without even glancing at Kevin.

Lincoln was delighted and asked, “Why are you back today?”

Dennis sat on the couch with his long legs crossed and replied, “I have something to tell you.

He had always been like that at home, acting incredibly indifferent. Lincoln was used to it. He turned to look

at Kevin and said, “Take Olive for a walk first. I have something to talk to your uncle.”

Kevin’s expression was grim. It was like that every time. As long as his uncle came back, Lincoln would direct

his attention to Dennis. No matter how much Lincoln doted on Kevin, he would only discuss the so-called

important things with Dennis if Dennis was there..

That day, Kevin came back to meet his parents with the prettiest woman in New York. At first, it was

supposed to boost his ego, but Dennis was back. With one sentence, he made Lincoln get Kevin away first.

Kevin felt he lost his dignity in front of Olive.

Kevin dragged Olive up, left the living room, and went straight upstairs. Lincoln also knew that Kevin was

unhappy. He sighed and asked, “What’s the matter? Go ahead.”

Dennis glanced at Lincoln and asked, “Are you going to let Kevin marry Olive?”

Lincoln was stunned for a moment and asked, “What do you think?”

Dennis sneered and said, “Don’t get me wrong. I’m not interested in this kind of vulgarity. I don’t want Kevin to

marry her, who will make a mess at home.”

“What do you mean?” Lincoln frowned and looked at Dennis.

Dennis threw a stack of documents on the table, leaned back on the couch, and said, “Take a look yourself. If you agree with this kind of granddaughter-in-law, I have no problem with it. Anyway, the woman you marry is

not much better.”

“Dennis Whitney!” Lincoln’s face turned red with anger.

“I’m here. You don’t have to shout.” Dennis pointed to the documents on the table and continued, “She dares to persuade Kevin to take over Whitney Group. Think about it, the Spence family is in a mess now. Even a marriage of convenience won’t solve the problem.”

Gel Bos

Lincoln picked up the document and flipped through it. From the time Olive entered the entertainment

industry until that moment, the methods she used, the people she harmed, the rumors, the boyfriends she had, and her messy private life were all clearly investigated and included in the document.

Lincoln darkened his expression as he said, “You’re determined to make life difficult for Kevin, aren’t you?”

Dennis smiled and responded, “What right does he have to let me make life difficult for him? He jumped in

and took charge of Whitney Group for a month, and I didn’t even bother to care. Chairman, don’t you know

what your grandson is capable of?”

Lincoln was furious that he coughed. Among the Whitney family, Dennis was the best heir. Unfortunately,

Lincoln and Dennis were at odds, and Kevin was obedient.

However, Kevin was nothing compared to Dennis. Whitney Group would only go downhill if it was handed over

to Kevin.

Dennis stood up and said, “I’m going upstairs to get something. Don’t let Kevin work at Whitney Group, or I

won’t be nice anymore.”

Dennis got up and walked upstairs. Lincoln sighed and also headed upstairs. When he passed by Kevin’s

room, he heard a woman’s laughter. It was indecent. Lincoln shook his hand in anger and returned to the

living room.

When Dennis was looking for documents in the study, Olive entered Dennis’ room. Her hair was scattered

behind her back, and she looked at Dennis flirtatiously. She called out softly. “Mr. Whitney.”

Dennis glanced back. Olive was leaning against the door, and the well-tailored skirt outlined her perfect

figure. She reckoned she was good-looking and had a good figure. If she could hook up with Dennis, it did not

matter if she betrayed Nataly. They were not friends who were totally devoted to each other.

However, Dennis glanced at her coldly, and the disgust in his eyes was evident. He parted his thin lips and

said, “Get out!”

Olive was stunned. All men would go crazy over her when they saw her, except Dennis, who not only treated

her as nothing but even disliked her. Why on earth was that?

“Mr. Whitney, I-” Olive was about to defend herself.

“Get out! Don’t make me say it for the third time!” The disgust in Dennis’ eyes was too obvious, and his indifferent expression was terrifying. Olive felt chilly and left the study dejectedly.

Dennis picked up the document and went downstairs. Kevin and Olive were sitting, accompanying Lincoln. Noticing Dennis coming down, Olive shrank, hoping Dennis would forget the embarrassing incident earlier.

Dennis did not even look at her, and she breathed a sigh of relief. Then, Dennis turned around and said to Lincoln, “Ask the housekeeper to clean up all the furniture in my study, including the door frame.”

Olive’s expression changed. She looked at Dennis, but he did not even look at her. Instead, Dennis turned to Kevin and said, “Take care of your woman. They are all behaving like this!”

Kevin’s expression turned grim, and he looked at Olive while the latter looked at him with grievance,

Get Borus

He drove back to Glorious Estate. As soon as he entered, a sweet scent wafted toward him. Marie hugged

him and asked, “Did you go back to the Whitney residence? Have you met Olive?”

“Yes, I met her.” Dennis lowered his head and changed his shoes, looking unhappy.

“What’s wrong? Didn’t Old Mr. Whitney take your side?” Asked Marie nervously.

“Old Mr. Whitney? Ms. Spence, what do you mean by calling Dad old?” Dennis looked at Marie even more

unpleasantly,

Stunned, Marie stuck out her tongue. There’s nothing wrong with calling him that according to his age!

No one would have thought that Dennis was Lincoln’s youngest son. Marie felt slightly strange for her to

address Lincoln as Dennis did.

As Dennis spoke, he circled her in the hallway and asked with his head lowered, “Ms. Spence, do you think I’m

much older than you?”

Marie immediately shook her head and said decisively, “No! Absolutely not! How is that possible? Den-Den,

you’re simply young and compelling!”

Dennis was speechless.

Hugging Dennis, Marie said coquettishly, “All right, all right. I won’t call him Old Mr. Whitney anymore. Is he
