Savage POV.
I pace in the clubhouse holding a hysterical Rebel in my arms. Her mother was kidnapped in broad daylight. If it wasn’t for one of the store workers leaving when she did, we wouldn’t know. She called the cops who informed us as back-up as this is my fucking town.
So imagine my shock and rage when we got there and found out it was Angel who was taken. And the police had Rebel.
It has been hours, and everyone of my men has been out with the police looking for her. I tried to go with them, but Rebel didn’t want me to leave her. So dad took over and went with them.
“How could this have happened?” I say as Rebel finally settles in my arms just as the clubhouse doors open and Foxy comes running towards me.
“Oh, my god Savage. I just heard what happened. This is awful, are you ok? Do you need anything?” she asks but I ignore her and walk with my daughter to what is my room when I stay here.
“Savage, please. Let me help you?” I turn to her, and she stops in her tracks, seeing my daughter in my arms. She looks from her to me and I see something flash in her eyes. Is that amusement? Animosity, hate?
“What did you do?” I snarl at her as she blinks.
“Me? You have got to be joking, right? I saw her today while out with your mom and the other women. She was in the store. That’s all.” She says, but something in my gut is telling me this is more than a simple meeting in the store.
“If I find out you had anything to do with this, Foxy, I will kill you.” I say to her when she gasps and begins to cry.
“You think so little of me that I would do this to you and your daughter? I’m not the monster you think I am. Yes, I fucked up back then, so did you. Savage, please, I only want to make it right.” She touches my arm and I shake my head at her and step away from her.
“Stay away from me and my family. I don’t trust you, Foxy. Now leave.” I turn and walk to my room and close the door behind me.
“Mommy.” My heart breaks. That is all Rebel has been saying for the past five hours. Even in her sleep, she is calling for her mom.
“Shhh baby, daddy is here.” I choke on a sob as I kiss her little head as hiccups make her little exhausted body jolt.
“I promise you, baby, daddy will make this right.” I lay down with my baby girl in my arms and fall asleep.
“Prez, wake up.” I open my eyes and look around and see Rebel isn’t in my arms. I jump up and grab Ice by the collar and slam him into the wall.
“Where is she?” I shout, and he points to the door.
“Chill, your mom has her.” I release him and rub a hand down my face.
“Sorry about that, man. How long was I asleep?”
“It’s ok, four hours. Your mom told us to leave you to sleep. Rebel is fine. But that’s not why I came in. They found her.” I rush out of the room with Ice behind me.
“You should have started with that. Where is she?” I shout as I walk through the clubhouse, seeing two officers, one being the Chief standing there looking scared.
“Savage, you need to calm down. We found her. She is in a bad way.” My heart breaks as I stumble, trying to hold myself up as Blaze grabs me, stopping me from falling.
“Where is she? How bad is it? Where was she found?”
“She is in the hospital. As for how bad it is, it’s bad. She is lucky to be alive. She was found by a member of the public wondering around. Her clothes were torn, and she was bleeding.” My knees give in and I crash to the floor.
“Savage.” Foxy runs to me, but I push her away as the tears leave my eyes. This is my fault. She was safer being away from me.
“Take me to her.” I say, as Blaze helps me stand. I look at my mom and she is enraged. She isn’t looking at me but the bitch on the floor.
