The Biker’s Mafia Princess (Angel and Savage) novel Chapter 156

Harmony POV.

All week I have been racking my brain about where I had seen that man before and it is really driving me mad. I know I’ve seen him before but still can’t pinpoint where exactly.

I shake my head to rid myself of the thoughts and smile instead. Today is the day of the Candy Wonderland party to raise funding for the women’s shelter and the children’s hospital.

The ole ladies and locals have really outdone themselves. The clubhouse and club grounds look magical. Giant pink and white cane canes stand on either side of the clubhouse steps. There are big lollipops in various colours and individual candies decorated all around. Some hanging from the branches of trees and in the grass on display.

There are huge ice cream cones, donuts, cakes, balloons with confetti that look like sugar strands, giant gummy bears, jelly beans that are little chairs. The place would give the witch from Hansel and Gretel a serious case of envy.

It looks spectacular, all in pastel colours. I nod happily as I take it all in. We started setting up yesterday. The stalls are set up so the kids and adults can all play games. Pop-pop is setting up the grills because that is his job. His words, not mine, so whatever makes him happy and nanna well, she is busy directing what goes where with momma.

According to them, I don’t need to do a thing because I had already had a detailed blueprint on where I wanted everything to go and how the area and the inside were to be set up. The club members always love these events. They all love seeing what our hard work and dedication does for those in need. It really brings everything into perspective for all of us.

We are fortunate to have everything we want, and it is good to give to those who have nothing or are simply just starting out again. Melody squeals as she comes running along the path. Oh, the little outfit she is wearing is beautiful.

She is wearing pink and white striped tights and a pastel pink and white tutu skirt; the top is long-sleeved white with little candy details on it. Her long black hair is in two buns on the top of her head, with lollipops sticking out with glitter. She has face glitter on her cheekbones, and face paint on her cheek.

“Harmony, look.” She comes running, and I smile at her as I bend to pick her up.

“You look amazing, Melly. You look so good I could eat you up.” I say, making an eating noise as I kiss her cheek. She squeals and giggles before I set her down. I look up at Mav and fight the urge to chuckle at him.

“Hey Mav, when did you exchange your cut for the pimp hat?” Hound shouts and Harry slaps him upside the head calling him an idiot and Mav gives him a look of shut the hell up. I walk towards him and pull him into a kiss.

“Ignore him. You look awesome.” Mav is dressed as Willy Wonka with the purple velvet coat, top hat, and cane. To some, he would look like a pimp, but I think he looks rather dashing, especially when he tips his hat, and flashes that smile. My insides quiver with need. Later Harmony, then you can eat him like he is candy.

So we have Willy Wonka and a candy princess and me. Well, I’m not one to dress up, but I have for today. I am a …

“Harmony, why is your face orange and your hair green?” Melody asks, yeah, I’m dressed as an Umpa Lumpa. I’m a big kid. I was never a sugar plum fairy, or princess. No, I have always liked to step away from the MC princess stereotype. I don’t give a hoot about designer brands, make-up, perfect hair. No life is for living, having fun, and being silly. That is what I like to think I do.
