The Biker’s Mafia Princess (Angel and Savage) novel Chapter 160

Maverick POV.

A rough tongue licks my cheek and a yowling purr like chuff is really loud in my ear. I raise my hand with a groan and push the sound away. But it is too strong and won’t budge.

I lay limp on the ground feeling a snuffly nose trying to rouse me. But I’m too comfortable.

When a loud roar makes me jump to my feet. I look around the room, my eyes wide with panic. My mind is foggy and I try to remember what happened.

Harmony.

“Harmony, Harmony, where are you, baby?” I call through the house when I hear another yowl and turn to see Mystique sitting in the doorway of the front door, facing the street, calling out into the night. My fear rises in my chest as I scan the room, looking for Harmony.

I run up the stairs and search every room for any sign of Harmony, but there is nothing. I’m still calling her name when I run back down the stairs, falling down the last three.

I pull at my hair, knowing she is gone. My phone rings and I pull it out of my pocket and see it’s Rebel calling me.

“Yeah!” I answer, looking down, realising I’m still dressed as Willy Wonka.

“No, she is gone. I don’t know. I woke up on her floor with the front door open. Rebel, get the club here.” I say before I hang up, listening to her screaming for the club to haul ass. I walk towards Mystique and she is staring outside.

I reach for her head and stroke her.

“It’s ok, girl, we will get your mom back,” I say to her as I turn and walk around the house looking for any clue. It doesn’t take a goddamn genius to figure out who took her. Joel motherfucking Richardson.

That son of a bitch was waiting in the fucking shadows like the snake he is. Drugged me while my back was turned. He is not man enough to face me head on, but he is about to learn the error of only knocking me out.

The rumble of bikes brings me out of my thoughts. As I walk back to the door. My emotions are battling right now. I want to cry, not because I’m sad, but because I’m angry. I’m also extremely worried.

Joel has my woman. He is involved in the trafficking of women, men, and children. He has Harmony, my Harmony and I don’t want to think what he could be doing to her.

The question is: did she go willingly with him to avoid a scene? Or did he drug her again, too?

Either way, once we know where she is, I will enjoy playing with him. I will laugh as he screams in pain. He will know what pain truly is when I get my hands on him. It will be me that brings him down. Not the club, not her family. Me.

I look at Mystique and I remember what the breeder of the Patger told us before he died.
