Savage POV.
I’m lying on the meeting room table as Doc patches me up. I ignore everything and everyone. Last night has confirmed what I think I always knew, but was too stupid to acknowledge. Luckily, my men weren’t seriously hurt. Danny was shot in the leg as the van rammed into the gate. It has been hours since the shit hit the fucking fan.
The damn Vipers did this to her. Foxy is still in with her father. And Angel, she believed everything that slut had to say. She shot me. Any lower, she would have killed me.
The things that Foxy said. Only part of it was true. That part about me fucking her before Angel turned eighteen. As soon as Angel turned eighteen, I stopped fucking Foxy and anyone else, until Foxy fucking played me, claiming she was pregnant with my child weeks before the photos arrived. I don’t remember sleeping with her the night she claimed I did only waking up beside her. I wasn’t lying when I told Angel I haven’t been with anyone since I found out what Foxy did. I’m a damn fool. I should have sent her packing long ago.
But I didn’t. Why? Because I couldn’t see a woman who I grew up with being used like that by her father, even though she was fucking other members of this club. So I kept her here to protect her. Looking back at it now, I was stupid, thinking I was helping a friend. A friend who I used to hurt my Angel with, a conniving snake who I believed and fucked my life and happiness up for all because of jealousy. Now I’m paying for it and I deserve it all.
“Pres, we lost them.” I groan as I sit up, holding my now bandaged shoulder as I look at Blaze.
“Like the snakes they are they slithered back under a damn rock? Any word from Antonio yet?” I ask, knowing he is going to come for me because of what that bitch said to his daughter. He will wipe us out if we don’t move and draw the Vipers out.
“No, but it won’t be long before word gets to him about what went down here,” he says, and I know that. I wave him off as I stand from the table and sit in my chair.
Foxy confirmed it. It was her father’s men. His club did this to Angel all because of her. They lied to me, both of them. They have been in cahoots the whole damn time. I’m such a damn fool!
Ice found her phone and found all kinds of messages, calls, and emails about our damn plans! She even told her father about Angel, saying Angel used to be a club whore, who came back and had claimed Rebel as mine, that Angel was lying.
She didn’t tell him who Angel really was. She is smart. She knows the Moretti’s will stop at nothing to find them. So the web of lies and deceit is unravelling. As the noose tightens around all our necks.
That is why she tried to have Angel and Rebel killed last night, because if her father doesn’t know who Angel truly is, it can’t come back on her. It is only a matter of time before he figures it out and it is time we don’t have.
My phone rings and I sigh, pulling it out and I stiffen, seeing the name flashing on the screen.
“You better meet me outside now!” I shiver as the call disconnects. I stand and leave the meeting room and walk like I have given up which I have. I lost her and my daughter and it’s all because of me and a jealous bitch.
My men all look at me with pity, but I ignore them as I leave the clubhouse and find twenty men in black suits waiting for me. But it’s not them I’m scared of. It’s the woman standing in front and centre. Teagan Moretti. The early morning sun makes her green eyes more vibrant and hidden in their depths lies nothing but rage. I shiver at the gaze coming from her.
