The Biker’s Mafia Princess (Angel and Savage) novel Chapter 3

Harmony POV.

My day has just flown by and the smile has not left my face one. Not when the coffee machine decided to play up, or the construction crew hit a water pipe. Nothing can bring this smile down. It’s all because of him, my man, Mav.

Gosh, it feels amazing calling him my man. The primal part in me is proud, puffing her chest up and roaring to the heavens in happiness.

When I entered the clubhouse to collect Mystique, I stop in my tracks and hear the sobs and cries of a woman. She is pleading with my parents about something.

“You can’t do this! He would never do what you have accused him of. I will have you and your club wiped out!” She screams as her legs give out and she lands on her knees.

“What is going on?” I ask as I walk closer to my parents, who are watching the woman.

“Oh, nothing to worry about. She is here to plead for her man. According to her, he is innocent and we are to blame for the path he chose.” My momma says to me and I look from her to the woman sobbing on her knees. I ignore my momma and move closer to the woman. My chest aches for her. I have been told I am too trusting and compassionate. Maybe I am, but I can’t stand the sight of people upset.

“What is your name?” I ask her as I squat in front of her. And she lifts her tear-streaked face and I look at her. My heart breaks for her.

“Dana, your family is the cause of all of this.” She sneers at me and I look at her.

“That is quite the accusation Dana. Mind telling me what we caused?” I ask her when she looks at me with so much hatred in her eyes and I am taken aback that this beautiful woman would have so much hatred in her.

“The downfall of my ole man’s club. Your club refused to help and watched them fall. This is all your fault.” I blink at her words before I look at my momma and she nods her head. She knows I understand who this woman is. Hank’s missing ole lady. So that means … She is Lucky’s momma.

“Your ole man is the cause of the club’s destruction. Not us, but him. Did you know he was kidnapping kids, women, and men to sell at auction? Did you know he and his girlfriend did all of this? Long before my club turned our backs on them? No, because if you are his ole lady, then where the fuck have you been? Your Lucky’s mother and you left him to deal with your ole man?” I say to her with a bite in my tone and she looks into my eyes. She looks shocked and disgusted.

“That club lost their way a long time ago. So how dare you come here and accuse us of that club’s downfall? If anything, you should be looking closer to home than to us who tried to help them. So I suggest you get your facts straight before causing a scene here. I should know how far they fell. They kidnapped three of my club kids to draw me out and they kidnapped me. There is one person you should be blaming for this and that is Hank. Maybe it’s you too, because you left him. You left your son and you have the nerve to come here and beg us to do what, exactly? Release him? Not going to happen. So Dana, I would say this to you. Leave this clubhouse and compound. Hell, leave town and never show your face here again. Lucky deserves so much better than the shit parents he ended up with.” I say, giving her one last look of disgust as I stand and turn my back on her and walk to the bar.

The clubhouse is silent apart from her sobs. Every member is looking at me with so much pride and understanding. I look at Lucky and he nods his head at me.

“Mom, you need to leave. The Princes Of Darkness have made their decision and I want nothing to do with you. Leave and never come back. I mean, let’s face it, it isn’t hard for you to do. You forgot about me a long time ago.” Lucky says and I move closer to him and wink at him.

“Hound, escort her out of the town, hell escort her out of the state. She is not welcome here.” Lucky says and I stand by his side as the other brothers stand beside him in a show of solidarity. Lucky is one of us now and we stand up for our own.
