The sudden development left everyone in the room bewildered. Before they could process what was happening, they saw Dominick already holding Paisley in his arms. For those present, this scene was as earth–shattering as a meteor collision. 

“Sonny” Brittany slowly approached Grayson, pointing at Paisley and whispering urgently, “What did you just call her?” 

Grayson stepped back, looking at Brittany with disgust as grease and broth dripped from her face and clothes. “Mom. She’s my mom.” 

Earlier in the restroom, Dominick had said she was Paisley’s sister. But she didn’t look like her at all. To him, she looked like a sneaky thief. 

Hearing Grayson call Paisley “Mom” again made the Sullivan family trio uneasy. 

Christina’s face turned ashen, her heart in turmoil, leaving her momentarily frozeni. 

Gregory’s face was pale, his cheeks trembling as emotions surged within him. He stared at Paisley in disbelief. 

Brinany clenched her teeth, her expression filled with rejection. 

“Impossible! Don’t lie!” she snapped at Crayson, her tone sharp. “How could Paisley be your mom” 

Paisley was nothing more than her defeated rival, an outcast from the Sullivan family. She was worthless, a disgrace to the Sullivan family, someone they’d abandoned without regret 

There was no way she could be Grayson’s mor. It was absolutely impossible. 

“I told you–she is my mom! Paisley is my mom! Grayson’s anger flared. Brittany’s words had struck a nerve. Paisley had really left him, refused to see him, and didn’t even think of him. The emotional gap left him deeply hurt. 

And now, Brittany’s words only reinforced the painful truth that his mom had abandoned him. This made Grayson despise Brittany even more. His face showed undisguised loathing as he glared at her. 

The intensity of Grayson’s disgust shook Brittany. She took two steps back, retreating to Christina’s side with a mix of unease and resentment. Paisley being Grayson’s mom also meant she was Dominick’s ex–wife Christina and Brittany exchanged glances, reading the same shocked realization in each other’s eyes Gregory, too, had caught on, and a faint sense of regret began to creep into his heart. 

Gary, after his initial shock, suddenly felt relieved. At first, he’d worried that Paisley might clash with Dominick because of Brittany But now, the situation seemed to have taken a promising turn. It seemed nothing was ever certain until the very end. 

Meanwhile, the Jackman family trio was the most terrified. Keith and Marianne, who had been arrogant earlier, now looked pale and subdued They shielded Baron behind them, covering his mouth to keep him from making any noise, desperately trying to minimize their presence. 

Baron’s disheveled appearance made it clear how brazen and obnoxious he must have been in the small private room earlier. Keith and Marianne knew their son well–he had always been a bit of a pervert when it came to women, 

But those women had always been from less prominent backgrounds, easy for the Jackman family to control. However, it was evident that Paisley was different 

Now, they just hoped no one would notice them, so they could quietly slip away. As for Baron’s beating they could only chalk it up to bad luck. 

Paisley hadn’t expected to encounter Dominick while teaching the Sullivan family a lesson. He was clinging tightly to her, refusing to let go no matter how hard she pushed 

“Dominick, let me go, Paisley demanded, struggling as she tried to shove him away. But Dominick was like an immovable wall. His body was firm. his arms like steel bars locking her in place. 

“No, I won’t,” Dominick murmured, his voice muttled but resolute. Instead of letting go, he held her even tighter. “Paisley, how long are you going to disappear this time? Why are you always so cruel to me?”
