At first, Paisley was confused by Christina and Brittany’s accusations, but when she looked at Dominick and Grayson again, realization dawned. It wain’t a coincidence they were here–they’d been invited by the Sullivan family. 

Dominick was the financial powerhouse behind the Sullivans. This revelation sent chills down Paisley’s spine, and her gaze toward Dominick grew kter than ever before 

Dominick, was startled by her expression–it was the third time he’d seen that look in her eyes. 

The first was the night they signed the divorce papers. The second was when Marissa almost killed her and Serena, and she stormed into the Vanderbil family. 

And now, this motent marked the third. Each time she looked at him like that, she would disappear from his life. 

Taisley Panic crept into Dominick’s voice. 

“So, you were the one backing Brittany to go against me?” Paisley said coldly. “Dominick, you just keep making me hate you even more!” 

“Paisley, what are you talking about! When have I ever gone against you!” Dominick wanted to explain but didn’t know where to begin. 

Gary chimed in, breaking the tension, “Paisley is the screenwriter for this project, known professionally as Nion. And Nion has a well–known rule- Britany is not allowed in any of her works.” 

He turned to Brittany, who glared at him with a pale face, but Gary felt a sense of satisfaction 

Normally, as a prominent director, he wouldn’t stoop to conflict with a mere actress. But Brittany had turned the entire production into a mess, and as the director, he’d been unable to express his frustration–until now, 

Finally seizing the opportunity, Gary turned back to Dominick and continued. “The lead role for this project wasn’t initially Brittany. But she forced her way in through certain methods, causing significant delays in production. This blatant disregard for the rules directly crossed Nion’s line 

He added pointedly. “And as for the methods she used, I’m sure you’re well aware, Mr. Vanderbilt.” 

Hearing the full story, Dominick was taken aback. He had delegated Brittany’s inclusion in the cast to Julian, not bothering with the details–he only cared about the result 

He’d done this solely because Brittany was Paisley’s sister. There was no ulterior motive. To him, it was just a trivial matter. But little did he know, his actions had caused Paisley such trouble. 

“Paisley, I didn’t know you were the screenwriter for this project. If I’d known, I wouldn’t have interfered. And I have no romantic interest in her→→ you have to believe me Dominick pleaded.

Brittany was the first to object. “That’s impossible! If you don’t like me, why would you help me? Why would you support the Sullivan family’s business Isn’t it all because of me” 

Dominick frowned and looked at Brittany. He never expected that his actions would make the Sullivan family misunderstand to this extent. “1 helped you and took care of the Sullivan family business all because you’re Paisley’s family.” 

Brittany shook her head, unwilling to accept such a fact. She thought she was about to become the young mistress of the Vanderbilt family, but now she was being told that all the care the Sullivan family had received during this time was because of Paisley.
