“Dominick!” Paisley’s voice came at the door. She was out of breath from rushing 

When she got the message from Emery, she had just parked the car. The message said Dominick was already there and asked her to come back quickly. 

Worried that Dominick might not follow the plan, Paisley hurried toward the hospital room. As soon as she reached the door, she heard Dominick’s words. 

“Hmm?” Serena tilted her head, looking at Dominick, not understanding why Dominick suddenly got so emotional 

Seeing his daughter’s innocent and clear eyes, Dominick stopped himself from saying anything further. Emery and Maria both let out a relieved breath. 

“Rena,” Paisley quickly entered the room and walked over to Serena, 

As soon as Serena saw her mom, she forgot everything and focused entirely on Paisley, 

“Mom, I woke up just now and didn’t see you. I didn’t cry, I am a good girl” Serena snuggled into Paisley’s arms, looking up for praise. It was absolutely adorable. 

“Mm, you’re the best. Paisley rewarded Serena with a kiss on the cheek. 

“Come on, let me kiss you too” Emery leaned over and kissed the other cheek of Serena, then subtly signaled to Paisley to pay attention to Dominick behind her. 

Paisley nodded knowingly, stood up, and pulled Dominick out of the room. “Come with me. 

Dominick didn’t resist and followed Paisley out of the room. She led him all the way to the end of the hallway before stopping. “Dominick, what’s going on? Did you forget what you promised me?” 

“Still not letting go? I never knew you were this shameless.” The hallway was full of people, and Paisley didn’t want to draw unwanted attention, so she lowered her voice and warned him.
