But he was glad he didn’t say it in the end. Otherwise, he wouldn’t know how to face Paisley now. 

The image he had left in Paisley’s mind was already bad enough. He didn’t want to make it worse. Wanting to acknowledge his daughter was important, but Paisley meant more to him. 

“Good. You should go back now, there are guests in the hospital room, it’s not convenient for you to stay,” Paisley said as she walked towards the room without even saying goodbye. 

Dominick stood there, turning to look at Paisley’s back with a sorrowful gaze. 

Paisley returned to the hospital room, and Emery looked behind her, not seeing Dominick. “He left?” 

“Yeah, he left.” Paisley rubbed her forehead, feeling a bit tired. 

She was indeed tired today, not physically, but mentally. 

First, she had to go to the studio and handle the accumulated work urgently. Then, on her way back, she ran into some things with the ladies‘ association. She barely had a moment to rest before meeting Dominick. 

Emery noticed Paisley didn’t look too well, so she walked over and started massaging her shoulders. 

When Emery touched Paisley’s tense shoulders, she frowned, “Wow, your shoulders are even stiffer than mine after years of sewing. And your neck is so tight, haven’t you been resting well lately?” After asking, Emery rolled her eyes. “Like you could get any rest.” 

Paisley closed her eyes, enjoying Emery’s massage. “It’s fine, I have you to help me.” 

Emery chuckled. “Of course, my skills are the best. Hey, didn’t Dominick take this doll with him?” 

Paisley picked it up and looked at it. “Yeah, Rena already has one of these.”
