Chapter 68 

“Get away!” “Get away!” Alina shouted, her voice filled with fear and desperation. 

Driven by instinct, Alina lifted her leg and kicked Kennard’s leg, but she purposefully avoided hitting any vital parts. She didn’t want to cause him serious harm despite the danger he posed. 

Kennard winced in pain, but he became even more frantic. He grabbed her and said sinisterly, “Alina, I’m serious.” 

Suddenly, the force holding her tightly suddenly released. 

Kennard was pulled away from behind, and the person exerting the force displayed immense strength. In the blink of an eye, a powerful fist struck Kennard hard in the face, causing him to stumble and fall to the ground. 

Alina’s eyes widened as she finally saw the person who had intervened. It was Johnny. 

“Are you okay?” Johnny immediately checked on Alina’s well–being, concern etched on his face. 

Despite Alina leaving him and the car on the roadside, Johnny had decided to drive the vehicle to her residential area. Fate had led him to witness the distressing scene unfolding before him. 

Johnny rushed over to Alina’s side without hesitating, forcefully pulling Kennard away. 

Alina shook her head, her voice filled with relief and gratitude. “I’m fine.” 

Meanwhile, Kennard slowly rose from the ground, blood trickling from his mouth, his expression one of anger and defeat. 

Kennard did not see Johnny’s face. Johnny talked to Alina with his back to him, and Kennard threw his fist at him. 

Johnny had anticipated the attack and easily dodged it. Johnny swiftly retaliated, delivering a well–placed kick that sent Kennard sprawling once again. 

Undeterred, Kennard, consumed by his madness, got up and attempted to strike Johnny again. He even managed to grab hold of Johnny’s arm, trying to gain any advantage he could. 

Johnny’s arm had been injured twice recently, and although he managed to shake Kennard off, the wound on his arm split open again. 

Kennard, relentlessly driven, once again found himself kicked away by Johnny, creating a loud commotion that drew the attention of the security personnel nearby. 

The guards hurried over, asking what happened. Without caring about his injury, Johnny said, “Sir, there’s a madman causing trouble here.” 

Kennard was helped up, and he finally saw Johnny’s face. 

“Mr. Sutton?” Kennard looked at Johnny in surprise. 

Having met Johnny during Sybil’s wedding, Kennard knew Johnny’s identity. 

He looked at Alina and said, “Alina, what’s your relationship with him? Last time, he also helped you. Now he’s at your doorstep. Have you two been secretly hooking up?” 

Kennard spoke harshly, “Mr. Sutton and Mr. Alexander, both of them are rich. So you don’t even look at me, right?” 

“Kennard, shut up!” Alina no longer recognized the person in front of her. 

Johnny stood before Alina, his tall figure shielding her from Kennard’s nauseating gaze.

“Why don’t you take him away? The security here is so bad that anyone can cause trouble at the entrance?” Johnny’s voice carried authority. 

The security, intimidated by Johnny’s presence, quickly took Kennard away. 

Alina didn’t expect Johnny to come to her aid so quickly after leaving him on the road. 

The atmosphere became a bit awkward. Alina spoke first. “Thank you.”
