Chapter 109
Seeing Allison reluctant, Nanette couldn’t help but chuckle. She was drawn to Allison’s polite manner and fair attitude. Jokingly, she said, “If I buy drinks here, will you get a commission or something?”
Allison nodded, “Two percent.”
Nanette “That’s so little. Isn’t it a bit inappropriate for you to tell me this?”
“It’s not a secret”
“So if I buy a couple more bottles, does that mean you’ll earn more tonight?”
Allison didn’t expect her to ask this, she calmly replied, “Tonight, your drinks are on the house.”
Nanette’s eyes widened, “So, you’re working for free then.”
Allison nodded again.
Nanette’s expression turned serious, “What’s your wage for tonight? I can pay you.”
Allison was taken aback, speechless. “You…”
Are you a bit nuts?
Leila went to the restroom, and Astrid followed. Inside, while they were touching up their makeups, Astrid curiously asked, “Who’s that waitress? How come she’s familiar with Nanette?”
Leila, not hearing clearly, quickly responded, “I have no idea.”
After Astrid finished with her makeup and saw Leila still applying hers, she said, “I’ll go back first.”
After she left, Leila finally put back her lipstick and pulled out a pink diamond bracelet from her bag.
It was the bracelet that Astrid had lost.
Leila put the bracelet on her wrist. With her slender wrist, the pink diamond bracelet sparkled brilliantly. She smirked, a beautiful bracelet like this suits best on her
wrist.
Allison busied herself until the closing hours. After all the customers had left, she had the cleaning staff tidy up before closing the door.
In Sarah’s office.
She was smoking, gray smoke slowly curling out from her red lips.
Ashley hung her head and argued softly, “I truly didn’t steal anything.”
Sarah raised an eyebrow, exhaling a puff of smoke and sighing, “Ashley, this is how society works. The rich are always privileged. To keep your job, you need to compromise I don’t care whether you did it or not. I just hope that in case something like this happens in the future, you’ll learn how to minimize your loss.”
Looking at the young girl before her, she couldn’t help feeling pity.
Ashley whimpered lightly, “I understand.” But she didn’t actually get it.
She didn’t steal anything, why should she apologize!
Sarah: “Half of your salary will be deducted this month.”
