Chapter 112
She caught sight of the middle–aged woman sitting by the window, knitting a scarf. Tears welled up in her eyes as she approached.
Grace was looking much better, popping a ton of anti–rejection meds every day, with no obvious side effects. She was tightly controlled, only allowed to see Allison once a week.
‘Allison.”
“Mom, how have you been feeling lately?”
“I’m fine.” She caressed Allison’s face, “You’ve been through so much.”
Allison put her face against her mother’s cheek, “Mom, I promise I’ll get you out of here.”
“Don’t worry about me, they won’t hurt me. Don’t quarrel with Mrs. Flanagan and Ms. Flanagan, don’t be so stubborn, learn to compromise.”

Allison mumbled to herself, “It’s weird, mine didn’t match your blood type…”

“Okay.” Allison agreed, picking up an apple to peel.
Grace sighed, “You’ve grown up so much. Seeing Ms. Flanagan getting married, I just hope you can find your happiness.
“Allison, don’t miss out if you meet the right person.”
“Mom, I just hope you get better soon. Being with you is my happiest moment.”
“You’re such a good girl.” Grace was in high spirits being cheered up by her.
Allison finished peeling the apple, glanced at the time. It was almost time for her appointment with Dr. Dylan.
She stood up, “Mom, I’ve made a lunch appointment with a friend today. I have to go now, I’ll come to see you again next week.”
Grace’s eyes lit up at the news, “Friend? Boy or girl?”
Allison answered, “It’s Dr. Dylan from Heating Haven Hospital, the doctor who treated you before.”
“Dr. Dylan is a great guy. Allison, you should cherish him.”
Grace seemed thrilled, while Allison was taken aback, realizing her mother had misunderstood. She quickly explained, “Mom, we’re not dating.……..
