Penelope finally breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Lucian's emotionless face, resting her head on the man's shoulder.
"Penelope, Luca, come join us; let's play a game."
"What game?"
"Truth or Dare."
On the other side.
The girl who had previously explained the game rules to Jason approached. She spoke softly, "Mr. Brummett, Ms. Zimmer, we're playing Truth or Dare; you should join us. The more, the merrier."
Jason thought back to the previous game and found it boring. He glanced at Allison, who was barbecuing. "We're good; you guys go ahead."
The girl said, "Mr. Brummett, everyone's going. It would be odd if just the two of you didn't join. And there won't be any outrageous rules this time."
Jason considered Allison's feelings as he looked at her.
Allison glanced at the round table where everyone was gathered. Besides a few drunk people, everyone was there. It would indeed be awkward if they didn't go.
"Alright, let's join the fun."
"Let me explain the rules. We're still drawing cards. This time, I've only put one Ace of Hearts in the deck. Whoever draws this card has to choose: truth, dare, or drink."
"Okay."
Nathalie was still the one dealing the cards. Everyone started to reveal their cards. Allison opened hers and breathed a sigh of relief.
"Oh man, I'm so unlucky; it's me!" Kamilla said, spreading her hands. "Truth."
Nathalie wouldn't make it difficult for Kamilla. She laughed and casually asked, "Ms. Lindbergh, do you have a crush on anyone?"
Although the question was simple, it drew the attention of many guys.
Under the sea breeze, Kamilla's cheeks turned a delicate red. "Of course I do."
"Who is it?"
"Kamilla, is it Patrick?"
Aaron smiled and said, "It's Allison. Go ahead, Ms. Zimmer. Please be gentle; don't make it too difficult." He made a begging gesture.
As a currently popular movie star, Aaron's status was unique. If he did something outrageous and it got filmed, it could cause unnecessary trouble. Allison herself didn't like to embarrass people, so she thought for a moment, "Please hug the person holding the Three of Hearts."
"That's it?"
"That's boring, Allison; you should have made him kiss the person with the Three of Hearts. That would have been fun."
"Yeah, you don't know how to play."
Everyone was quite unsatisfied. The game was supposed to be exciting; what's the big deal with a hug?
Aaron gratefully smiled at Allison, then hugged a girl holding the Three of Hearts, Betty. Her face was flushed, and her heart was racing. Aaron hugged her briefly, then let go.
Betty sat down, and the game continued for another round. Her heart was still racing, and she kept glancing at Aaron. Today was such a great opportunity that she actually got to hug Aaron.
"Hey, Allison, the Heart cards are in your hands."
