The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 632

Daisy moved like lightning, snatching the velvet box right out of Penelope's hands. She flipped it open, revealing a pearl necklace inside. "Oh, a pearl necklace?" Daisy said with a dramatic gasp. "This looks like last season’s trend."

"Give it back! What are you doing?" Penelope shot up from her seat, her voice tinged with anxiety as she reached for the box.

Daisy held the box high, balancing on her tiptoes. "It's just an out-of-style pearl necklace, Penelope. Surely this isn’t what you’re giving Aunt Leah? I saw on Twitter that you and Allison are besties. I thought your taste would match hers. This is quite a letdown."

"Mind your own business! Just give it back!" Penelope lunged at the box, but Daisy kept it out of reach.

Grace watched them with a sigh, trying to mediate but having no success.

The photographer nearby was frozen, clearly not expecting this kind of drama.

Another journalist, camera rolling, stepped closer, capturing every moment.

Penelope glared at the journalist. "What are you still filming for? Help me out here!"

The journalist, still holding the camera, looked at Daisy. "Ms. Daisy, this…"

Daisy gave Penelope a smug look. "Why would my journalist help you?"

Penelope's face turned ghostly pale, as if she'd been struck by lightning. "What did you say? Your journalist?"

"That's right, mine," Daisy said, folding her arms across her chest. "Got a problem with that?"

Penelope stamped her foot in frustration. "Daisy!"

Grace, lying in her hospital bed, watched the argument with a weary eye. She tried to intervene, "That's enough, Daisy. I'm just happy you all came to visit me." She glanced at the trash can, clearly thinking about retrieving the necklace—after all, it was the first gift Penelope had ever given her.

Daisy stopped her. "Ms. Grace, the necklace you’re wearing was a gift from Allison, worth over six thousand dollars. The one in the trash? Barely two hundred. It’s nothing."

Grace was taken aback by the figure. "Six thousand?" She touched the necklace around her neck. "That's far too expensive."

"Allison wanted to give you the best," Daisy said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Unlike Penelope, who only cares about putting on a show for the cameras and playing the devoted niece online."

Penelope, seeing the journalist still filming behind Daisy, began to panic.
