The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 676

Officers brushed past her as they lifted Shane onto the stretcher, his blood pouring from his wounds. Allison watched them carry him away, her feet stumbling as she tried to keep up.

She reached the ground floor just in time to see the ambulance speed off.

Allison collapsed onto the pavement.

Tears streamed down her face as she looked at the blood on her hands.

This was nothing like her rooftop performance. Up there, she was numb, restrained; her face dry but filled with pain. Now, she broke down, sobbing uncontrollably.

Wade, watching from the monitors, was impressed. He shouted, “Cut!”

“Allison, that was fantastic, really spot-on!” Wade’s excitement was palpable, his praise unrestrained. When Allison's performance was lacking, he didn’t hesitate to criticize and guide her. But when she nailed it, he made sure everyone knew. Today, he proclaimed, “I have to say, choosing you as the lead was one of the best decisions of my career! You were absolutely brilliant!”

How could someone so perfectly embody Irene in every way—acting, expression, appearance?

Allison was Irene incarnate!

Wade approached and hugged her. “Outstanding, truly outstanding. I believe, given time, you will become one of the finest actresses out there. Your journey is just beginning.”

Allison was taken aback by Wade's open display of affection. She thanked him, still a bit surprised, “Thank you, Wade.”

'Summer Times' was Cathy's coming-of-age film. After several title changes due to media regulations, they finally settled on 'Summer Times', a nod to everyone's personal summer saga.

Sadie was supposed to be the lead.

However, Sadie's career had taken a hit from Epic Entertainment's partial ban.

As Allison browsed through the script, she casually inquired, “How's Sadie doing now?”

“Well, after she got hit with the ban from Epic Entertainment, she started doing live streams selling products. But Cathy put a stop to it, saying they didn’t need an internet celebrity as their lead. Cathy threatened to cut Sadie's scenes and reshoot with a new lead if she continued appearing on live stream platforms. Sadie backed down immediately; after all, she's banking everything on 'Summer Times' to lift her career. If the movie does well at the box office, even with Epic's ban, she might still land some gigs. And if a sponsor takes a shine to her, they might even offer a hefty fee to buy out her contract.”
