The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 677

Allison nodded, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "Do you think I was too harsh about the whole Sadie debacle?"

By nature, Allison was a gentle soul, never one to stir up trouble. Even when trouble came knocking, she preferred to live and let live.

Emma, hearing this, quickly cut in, "Allie, your biggest flaw is that you're too kind-hearted."

Allison raised an eyebrow. "Really?"

"Absolutely," Emma said, shaking her head. "To put it nicely, you're charitable. To put it bluntly, you've got a bit of a savior complex. You're not here to save the world, so why bother with the likes of Sadie? She brought it on herself! She had it coming!"

"Everyone's got it tough," Allison said, rubbing her temples. She closed the script in front of her and stared at it, feeling the fatigue in her eyes. Emma poured her a warm cup of water, and Allison took a sip. "If 'Summer Times' gets good reviews and Sadie's attitude improves, maybe we should lift the ban. Forgiveness is divine, after all. I only blacklisted her in a moment of frustration."

"Alright, Saint Allison, Mother Teresa of the screen. If Sadie offers a sincere apology and seems genuine, I'll talk to Patty and see about lifting the ban. We could let her pick up some roles at Epic Entertainment and get some press releases out. Happy?"

"Thank you, Emma," Allison said with a smile.

Emma rolled her eyes affectionately. "You're too good, you know that? Let's just hope Sadie wises up this time. If she crosses you again, I swear she won't get off so easily!"

"Fine, fine, I'll listen to Emma."

Allison's crying scene was raw and intense; her acting chops were on full display, and the emotional investment was palpable. Wade, the director, had grown increasingly impressed with Allison's talent throughout the shoot. He always believed her crying scenes would be exceptional, and this take was flawless.

As Allison knelt, tears streaming down her face, Wade couldn't help but think that some people were just born to act. Despite any doubts thrown her way, she'd shatter them with her undeniable skill. Wade was convinced that once this scene aired, it would resonate with audiences, earning their appreciation and praise.

And Allison, once the film was released, would see her star rise several notches. Her brilliance and talent would be undeniable to all.

Allison remained immersed in her character long after "cut" was called. Her vision was blurry, tears still uncontrollably streaming down her face. Emma draped a jacket over her shoulders and helped her up. Slowly, Allison came back to reality. This was the first time she truly grasped the power of a script. No matter how many roles she'd play in the future, she'd never forget the character of Irene and the emotions of this moment.
