It was crystal clear now. Andrew and Hudson had both gone down, leaving Kenneth as the last man standing. A slight smile tugged at the corners of Kenneth's mouth.
Patty's face was a mix of confusion and tension, her smile stuck in place. She had been in touch with Hudson's assistant, Miguel, who kept insisting Hudson was fine. But now, what on earth was going on? Had Miguel lied to her?
As panic started to creep in for Patty...
A Lindberg Corporation shareholder spoke up, "Alright, everyone, let's stay calm. Even though Andrew and Hudson messed up, our talent pool at Epic Entertainment won't be affected. After careful consideration by Lindberg's higher-ups, we've decided to appoint Kenneth as the new president of Epic Entertainment."
Kenneth rose to his feet.
Everyone except Allison was caught off guard. Kenneth had always been the underdog at Epic Entertainment, and now he was the president.
With all eyes on him, Kenneth delivered a speech about steering Epic Entertainment towards greater success and making sure past mistakes were never repeated.
The shareholder continued, "We're also appointing Charlie and Emma as vice presidents of Epic Entertainment."
Patty's eyes widened in disbelief—
What??
She had been so sure that if Charlie got one of the VP spots, the other would be hers. Her experience and achievements more than qualified her!
She never imagined that Emma would get the other spot—
And she wasn't the only one stunned.
The other artists were just as shocked.
Kayleigh raised an eyebrow in surprise.
She glanced at Patty, whose face was a mask of sheer horror.
Charlie's face lit up with joy—being vice president was all she had hoped for.
She hadn't expected Emma's appointment at all.
It was clear now: Allison was not someone to mess with.
After the meeting adjourned.
Inside Allison's lounge.
Patty couldn't help but knock and step inside, "Allison, dear."
She was older than Allison and, with her years in the industry, even as she lowered her head and softened her voice to say something nice, there was a lingering arrogance, "I think there might be some misunderstanding between us."
"Oh? What misunderstanding?" Allison shot back.
Patty wanted to save face but found herself at a loss for words under Allison's questioning.
Allison stayed cool, sipping water before reaching into her bag for a script.
Patty tried again, "I'm your agent. Maybe I haven't been as committed in the past, but from now on, I'll put my all into advancing your career."
Allison looked up, a slight smile curving her lips, "My agent? Emma, the vice president of Epic Entertainment? So, what exactly do you think you can help me with?"
