“Have you lost your mind?” Anya asked.

Daniel had work to do. He had to make sure she knew her guards before he left.

Anya felt disgusted by his words. She was already tired of this conversation. She wondered, did this man think she was his property after being nice to him because of Lena and Mary? 

“Why do you trust him more than you trust me? He is a Shaw. Their family is so dangerous; they might as well be the Mafia. There is no way you do not know this, Anya. Such a man cannot be trusted,” Vincent’s voice sounded from the phone. Anya was close enough to Daniel for him to hear these words. She glanced at Daniel, and she hung up the phone.

“I will be gone all day. If you want to go out, they will take you,” he said, and she calmed somewhat. 

“I can go where ever I want, right?” she asked.

Anya looked at the guards who left him behind and sighed. 

“I will go into town later,” she instructed them and returned inside the room to dress up. 

Since she was allowed to leave the room, she would definitely leave. She had not been outside for a while; she might as well enjoy herself.
