The Billionaire's Mistake (Anya and Daniel) novel Chapter 90

Chapter 90: Gina’s plans

Gina sat in her fancy living room, surrounded by expensive

paintings and silk curtains that she had picked out herself. The leather couch felt cool beneath her as she watched her husband Martin walk back and forth across the polished wooden floor

His footsteps made soft thumping sounds that matched her heartbeat. She could tell he was really upset his face was red, and his hands kept clenching into fists at his sides

His niece Anya had just gotten married without telling anyone

You are making me dizzy,Gina said, and he paused

Anya says she is married,he said, and Gina sat up

She said that? Martin, honey, maybe we should think about this differently,Gina said calmly, smoothing her skirt with her perfectly manicured hands. Getting angry about Anya’s marriage won’t change anything. She could be lying. She watched his reaction carefully, like a cat watching a mouse

Martin stopped walking and turned to look at her. His face showed how desperate and angry he felt. Deep wrinkles appeared on his forehead, and his eyes blazed with fury. And if she isn’t? Do you understand what this means? She did not marry who we chose. What if he looks into her assets and her mother’s things pop up? That is all that we own!”

Gina was always good at coming up with plans. Martin, sometimes we have to accept what happens and work with it. Instead of trying to break up Anya’s marriage, why don’t we try to use it to help us? We could find out who this man is and maybe make some good connections. Every problem can become an opportunity if you look at it the right way.”

Martin looked confused, running his hands through his graying hair. What do you mean? How could Anya’s marriage possibly help us?He collapsed into the armchair across from her

looking tired and defeated

Gina leaned forward in her chair and looked straight at Martin

Think about it carefully. We don’t even know who Anya married. If we’re smart about this, we might be able to use this new connection to help our business. Maybe her husband is rich or knows important people. In our world, connections are everything, aren’t they?”

That’s ridiculous!Martin burst out, jumping up from his chair so quickly it rocked backbrand

What kind of good husband could that girl find on her own that could help us? I found her someone perfectTimothy! He has such a bright future, and she doesn’t even care.He was so angry he looked like he wanted to yell at Anya right then and there. His face turned an even darker shade of red, and a vein pulsed in his temple

You’re right

distress

Gina said soothingly, trying to calm him down while secretly enjoying his

You found her a good man in Timothy. He’s rich, young, and has a powerful family behind him. But think about itif Anya didn’t choose Timothy, maybe she found someone even better. This is a big city with millions of people. There could be even more powerful people out there that we don’t know about. Sometimes the biggest tigers are the ones hiding in the shadows.”

Martin started to look interested in what Gina was saying, his anger slowly turning to curiosity. He began pacing again, but slower this time, like he was thinking hard about every step. Maybe you have a point, Gina. If we can learn more about Anya’s husband and use that connection to help our business, it might make up for the trouble she caused. We need to find out everything we can about this man.”

Gina was secretly laughing inside. Only her husband, who cared out about interests, would dare say a mental patient like Timothy was a worthy husband

Chapy190 tumas plans

Exactly, she said, nodding and giving him an encouraging smile. We need to be clever about this. Instead of fighting against Anya’s choice, let’s find a way to make it work for us, even if we’re just pretending to accept the marriage. We can’t let our pride stop us from seeing good opportunities. Sometimes the best path forward isn’t the obvious one.”

Plus, even if that doesn’t work out, there are other ways to get what we want,Gina added with a sneaky smile, her voice as sweet as honey but hiding poison underneath

What other ways?Martin asked, stopping his pacing to stare at her with growing interest

Well, didn’t Hugo just want someone to hold as a guarantee? You don’t have to be married to be a hostage, she said, watching his reaction carefully. The words hung in the air like storm

clouds

What do you mean?Martin asked again, leaning forward in his chair

casual

We could just have some people take her,she explained, keeping her voice light and as if they were discussing something as simple as the weather. She only needs to stay with their family until the deal is done. It’s a simple solution, really.”

But what about her husband?Martin wondered, rubbing his chin thoughtfully

Well, if he’s strong enough to get her back, then doesn’t that mean we have a powerful son- inlaw?Gina pointed out, spreading her hands wide. Either way, we win.”

His face brightened like clouds clearing after a storm. You’re right, Gina. We’ll pretend to accept Anya’s marriage, but secretly we’ll gather information and make sure it helps us somehow. If her husband turns out to be important, we can use that. If not, we have other plans.”

Gina smiled, That’s the right way to think about it. Let’s make something good come from this surprise. Anya may have thrown us off track, but we can still win if we play this right.”

After their talk, Gina went up to her dark bedroom, her high heels clicking softly
