Chapter 984
The moment Thalassa finished asking the question, her heart raced with uncertainty, yearning for an affirmative answer from Atticus.
She had deliberately left Royal Estates before inquiring, wary of the mansion’s walls, which seemed to have ears. If any of the other servants caught wind of her words, it would inevitably reach Lysander’s ears.
The repercussions of Lysander finding out it were immense; the issue would undoubtedly blow up. The scandal could no longer be contained, and the video would be exposed to a larger audience.
With her mother’s life hanging in the balance, Thalassa couldn’t risk the slightest misstep. That’s why she had dismissed Fitch, insisting she didn’t need his chauffeur services, and drove the kids herself. She needed a safe space to ask Atticus this crucial question.
With bated breath, Thalassa watched Atticus, waiting for his response.
Atticus sat beside her, tilting his little head, his youthful, adorable eyes staring earnestly at Thalassa. No matter how trivial the question, Atticus always answered with utmost seriousness.
“Mommy, erasing stuff from a computer or phone remotely is child’s play for me. It’s what I’m best at. Of course, I can do it,” he said confidently.
At his words, Thalassa’s heart surged with relief and excitement, a wave like none she had felt before. It was as if a ray of light had suddenly pierced the darkness, offering a glimmer of hope.
“Atticus, can you do me a favor?” Thalassa couldn’t wait to ask.
Until now, she couldn’t figure out how to silently erase the video from Bruce’s possession.
Bruce used that video to threaten her at every turn. Despite her loathing, she felt powerless against him, unable to fight back with the trembling hatred in her heart.
The frustration and the need to suppress such loathing was unbearable.
Now, with a potential solution to delete the video from Bruce’s grasp, Thalassa’s breathing became hurried.
“Mommy, there’s no need to be so formal with me. Whatever it is, I’d climb mountains and swim across seas to help you. I want to help out too,” Atticus declared, his little face solemn, his eyes showing a depth beyond his years, somewhat resembling Lysander’s.
Upon hearing Atticus’ earnest tones, Thalassa felt both amused and moved. She wondered where he had picked up such gallant phrases but appreciated his eagerness to help nonetheless.
Gently stroking Atticus’ head, she reassured him, “I don’t need you to climb mountains or swim seas, honey. I just need your help to delete a video hidden in someone’s phone or computer.”
“Okay, Mommy, give me that person’s phone number. For the computer, I need the IP address and the model,” Atticus replied. “What’s an IP address?” Thalassa asked, puzzled.
“It’s the computer’s network address, which is essentially the Wi-Fi address,” Atticus explained.
Thalassa was stumped. She knew Bruce’s phone number but not his home network address.
